Goofy's Kitchen/Other Character Meals

I am going to Disneyland August 23-27 and would like to go to Goofy's Kitchen for lunch that Saturday Aug. 26. How do I get ressies or PS's arrangements? I will not be staying on site, is it even possible to get a PS or ressies or do I have to hope every one is at the park the Saturday I was planning on going??

Also what other character meals (lunch/dinner) do they have at the Disneyland Resort? We have never done one and I was thinking since this is a "surprise" trip for my girls, why not add on this "surprise."

You can get a reservation even if you are not staying onsite for any of the hotel restaurants. The number to call is (714) 956-6755.

The other resort character meals are at Storytellers Cafe at the Grand Floridian (breakfast only, and the characters do not come around to the tables) and at Cafe PCH at the Paradise Pier hotel (again, breakfast only). Goofy's Kitchen is the best character meal choice, IMHO, and it is the ONLY restaurant to offer character breakfast, lunch and dinner.
