Hi,

My family would like to rent a vacation home for our trip in April. We will not be going to Disney this time but to Universal Studios. Which vacation home community is the closest to this area?

I can't answer your question, but we just returned from a pool home in Emerlad Island in Kissimmee. Three days we drove to Universal and a fourth day to Sea World, and it was not even a slight problem. Maybe a 20 minute trip.

You may want to ask your question on the Universal board.

I tried a couple of years back to find a place with Villas near Universal. It seems there really aren't any :-(( You have to find a villa with easy access on to I4 which basically brings us back to Emerald Island and Windsor Palms area again. You should be at Universal within 20 minutes from either of these.

www.daystarvillas.com has homes in these areas.

Hi..I totally agree with Martina...

No homes by Universal...lots of suites and a few time shares...

The problem these days with Emerald Island and 192 homes is the traffic and new lights on 192 have really slowed traffic all the way past Disney to I-4...I am not sure what can be done, though...Once you get to I-4 the trip to Universal is pretty easy...just plan on 5-10 minutes to get to I-4 on 192 at peak times.

Have fun...Ted

Its about 20 mins from Universal BUt is easy to hop on I4 and straight to Universal exit.

Hi!
I have a great recommendation!
I stayed there last month. Its in INdian Creek. Disney is about 5 to 10 minutes away (all depends on the traffic). Its off of the Formosa Gardens Blvd turn! Its is a nice and quiet area!

The owner is very nice! He is quick to respond to any questions and etc.
It was 95 per night when I booked it in Feb. I think he raised it for the peak season which would be 99!
If you need his Email address and are interested, pls let me know and I'll make sure to PM you the info!
