Oh I'm so excited!!!! My sister has just announced that she has got engaged, and she's asked me to be her Bridesmaid princess: !!!!

No date set for the wedding yet, but hopefully plenty of time for slimming!!!!! ;) :banana:

:) Congrats! This will be such a lovely opportunity for you to grow closer.....I recently got married and found that during the engagement i needed the support of my friends and family a lot!

Yes I'vr been bridesmaid once before to my friend (who has since passed away... :( ), and also a flower girl - way back in the 1970's when crimplene a-line dresses and skull cap head dresses were all the rage!!!!

I'd love to wear aubergine......it's my favourite colour, but sad to see that most dreses are now sleeveless and strapless. :rolleyes:

I know what you mean about the crimpolene and skull cap, I was a bridesmaid when I was 7 (about 12years ago I think ;) ) it was a rainbow wedding, 8 Bridesmaids, 2 in pink, 2 in blue,2 in green, 2 in peach,6 pageboys,2 in brown,2 in blue, 2 in grey, the bride...wore Lemon,The groom..Chocolate Brown suit with lemon ruffle shirt, no I'm not kidding, I'll try and dig out a photo.
