I just booked with an AP rate and I asked about when the FL resident rates might be out (hoping they are a bit better than the AP rate). The CM said he didn't know for sure, but that he's expecting them to come out anytime.

They have not posted them yet but don't worry they will. They never forget us. I've been going steady for the past 9 years and the only time I paid rack rate was for Pop's grand opening. DD19 and I went Jan 3 last minute, as I was driving through Jupiter I called and got FL resident rates for that night and the next. We go last minute often. I guess thats why I never worry about when they will post the codes. Sit tight and be patient. You might want to go ahead and reserve your room then apply the code when they come out.

Lately they have been the same. They used to be at least $5 a night cheaper but I guess thats a thing of the past. Oh well still better than rack.

She asked if I was a AP holder, and I told her no, but are the Fl. Residents code out yet? She said: "Not yet, they haven't authorized us to release them as yet, but to keep calling back..." :guilty: Waaaaaaa....! :confused3 So, I will call back after 2:00pm and see, and wait, and see, and wait.... :hourglass

Just got off the phone and nothing available at any resort in June with Ap rate :confused3 ! I tried about 50 combinations of dates even into July! CM said FL res rates are not out yet. So if anybody gets one let us know.

AP and FL resident here as well...I was able to get Pop for June 11-18 at the AP rate ($74), and while I would love a deeper discount for FL resident, I'll take the $195 and run with it!! :flower:

ok, got this off the wdwmagic site....
"Discounts will be released within the next couple of days for travel dates between 4/17-7/4.
The Florida Resident code is EWZ.
The Annual Passholder code is EWY."
I have no idea if its right, or wrong, or how this person knows.... This was posted yesterday afternoon on "that other board!!"

I am so nervous now, I can't believe it. I hope there will be rooms left for us Fl. Residents! I have never known them to release the Fl. resident rates so much later than the AP. My memory isn't that good though...I'm just starting to freak out on the whole thing!
Come on Fl. Resident codes, pleeeeeze!!!

How odd they didn't release the Fl rates at the same time. I'm hoping they are a little better then ap rates cause as of right now, the Contemporary standard at AP rate is the exact same i'm paying now for the same thing in Fl rate on the 16th of April which was peak season. Even $10 would help!

When I called last night for the AP discount, the CM was talking to another CM in the background, and she mentioned FL resident rates were being released on 4/1. I asked her if I heard her right and she asked the other CM again, came back and said yes, they're being released 4/1. I'm not sure how reliable that information is, but I hope she's wrong and FL residents don't have to wait that long to be released. I know the waiting was driving me crazy on the AP rates.

Applied FL resident discount to my existing Coronado dates. 6 nights for $836.00 for pool/lake view. Equals $139.33/night with all the taxes and stuff added in. My regular rate for a standard was at $166.13 a night. All the standard discount rooms were booked.

OK I just called and booked CSR for 4 nights 5/18-5/22 for $486 total which is the 109 plus tax....I am debating whether or not to downgrade to a value....would be $334...nah....

I was thrilled to get AKL standard view with the FL resident rate for $139. I got really nervous when the CM told me POR was all booked for my dates, but that was my "no code" ressie, thought I would faint before he finally said AKL was available.

We have the CR booked for April 2-9, with the BDP (winter) rate of $1491.00 for the seven nights. The deposit for one night was $212.97 for a wing-standard room. Should I call to see if the FL Res rate would come out any cheaper? Thanks everyone for posting their updates! :sunny:

Rates were released yesterday...Thank God I stayed on top of this, my rates for May 5th for Contemporary and Beach Club (5 days each) dropped my total by about $1,000! If you need this rate and haven't called yet, do so right away...they don't last long!
Anyone know how restictive these rates are, though? In the past, we haven't cared much about the room location, etc, but I'm wondering if any request I make at these two resorts would be honored? Like maybe a pool view at each hotel or by some miracle a resort view?? Anyone know the best way to ask for these things? And, do they get any attention when using this special rate?
Woooowooooo!! :cool1:  :cool1:  :cheer2:

Just updating...I called CRO this morning and checked to see if the new BEW rate could be applied for our April 2-9 stay at the CR. The agent was very nice and spent quite a bit of time checking to see if the MYW plan would save us money. It ended up coming in a few thousand dollars higher than our room only reservation! I don't think we could eat enough to make it work out, even with two teenage boys! She also said that I should just keep the winter rate (BDP) discount which I used to book the original ressie, since the BEW rate wouldn't save us any money.
Thanks everyone for posting your updates! It never hurts to check anyway!
