anyone familiar with it? loved it? hated it? recommend it? waste of time/money? any and all input appreciated...
here's our story... we'll be there late august/early september and are planning to spend a day w/my elderly aunt (86yo) who lives in the orlando area... she has never been to Holy Land and i was thinking that would be a nice place to spend the day w/her (last year we took her out to lunch, to walmart and then hung out at her house visiting while the kids watched nick... not very exciting... so i thought this year we could try something different for all of us, but did not want to take her the "theme park" route as i don't think she's up to it nor into it)... also if anyone knows, can you rent a wheelchair there?
thanks in advance...

GiGi1313..... I've been a few times. It would be a wonderful experience for your aunt...BUT you need to think about the weather. Some of the shows are outside and that time of year may be very hot. There aren't too many shady spots. Of course, if it's a cloudy cool day you shouldn't have a problem. The inside exhibits and all are air conditioned - and very enjoyable and moving also. I cannot remember if they rent wheelchairs...you can probably pull up their web site and check. I loved it there, but would not go back in the really hot hot weather. Not knowing how old your kiddos are it, and if they are into things like that...I wouldn't know how to answer that part. Barbara in Texas

Hi Again.... They should be fine then....it's really an amazing place especially with your children's background. I would take them even if your Aunt isn't up to it....although..if they have the wheelchairs for rent it could be a very special day to do all together. There are several shows and exhibits...the exhibit where they trace the history of the bible may be a little over the children's heads...but they would enjoy everything else. There's a wonderful scale model of Jerusalem, and the preformance at the temple is awsome. The music, and the dancing is inspiring. The people who play the parts of the people and the priests do an amazing job. It's NOT Disney...but it is an "experience". I try to go when we're in Orlando every Fall...
I think there's a coupon for a few dollars off in those little books you can pick up all around town. If you go...have a wonderful time...either way, enjoy your vacation!!!! Barb
