I have called repeatedly to see if the 2005 Ent Book rates were available for May. Yesterday, I was told that the Ent Book people did not renew their contract with them and it was unlikely that there would be any discount this year.

Has anyone else heard this?

Yes, many people have been told the same thing. Apparently the rates are much higher this year, but people report the hotels are full when they go. Periodically someone posts a nice AAA or APH rate, seems to depend on the dates.

I e-mailed the reservations manager of Loews Orlando. She told me that they did not renew the contract with Entertainment Inc. due to changes in the program. She was very helpful, although she could not get me a very good rate.
Her name is Heather Girolami. Her address is hgirolami@loewshotels.com
hope this helps!

There is a coupon in the entertainment book that gets you $50 off your stay if you are there for 4 nights booked thru Universal Vacations. That's what they are doing now. The entertainment rate from the past is history, RIP, all good things must come to an end.

Most are getting the best rates using the AAA code, and lately we've heard the APH is about the same. Try one of those codes.

But yes, rates have gone up a lot this year. Many are frustrated and staying at Disney or offsite. Some are booking one night so they have two days of FOTL, then driving up from Disney. If you'd like info on the offsite hotels, visit my pages here.
