I saw this thread out there for October and thought it was a great idea.

We are staying at HRH November 7-11th. The rates seem very expensive but this is the best I have so far:

Standard Garden View Room $249/night with 2 length of stay passes.

This was a AAA rate as they told me there were no Entertainment Book Rates available. I also have a Loews Blue card but that didn't help with rate.
This was booked directly through Loews.

WOW! This was a AAA rate? I just spoke w/ the WORST AAA agent. the cost was around $750 for 2 nights the end of Nov w/ the passes that are buy 2 days get 1 day free for 2 adults and 1 child. From what I can figure, yours is $500 for the room and 2 adult length of stay passes....and then if I add on a child's 2 day pass that's another $95 so it's $150 cheaper!!!! I think you got a good deal. I'm going to have to see if I can work out something like that.

I explored the Entertainment book option and was disappointed. They have availability for our dates...but the price at HRC is $229/nite...plus passes. So that's $522 for the room plus $307 for the passes or $829. Considering the rack rate for this time period is $234/night it really isn't much of a deal. :rotfl:

HRH Garden view on November 25 for $237.50 with AAA. There was no Entertainment book discount and I've heard they'll be no more Entertainment book discounts at Universal. :(

I paid $164 in 2003, and $117 the two years before that so paying over $200 is killing me and that is why I'm only doing one night. :(

I'd be curious to see what AP rates people get as I'd be willing to buy one AP for a really good room rate. I usually buy my passes at AAA but am waiting to see if they have any good promos at the Universal website like they did a few months ago...buy one adult get one kids free! I snoozed so I loosed.

Best deal I can get w/ AA right now is $789 for 2 nights at Hard Rock. This includes 3 tickets for 2A and 1C at the buy 2 days get 1 free rate. I think I might book w/out the tickets and either buy through TicketMania...or keep an eye on the Universal website for deals! I like the idea of buy 1 adult pass get a child pass free!

Will have to sit back and crunch #s now...see if it's really worth the $789 PLUS FOOD! to extend our Disney trip by 2 nights at Universal. Just seems like sooooooooo much! Especially since it's value season at Disney then and the AAA rates I have locked in are WONDERFUL! And I'm hoping to better them w/ AP rates when they are announced in Aug. :goodvibes But if I take a shuttle from Disney and don't stay onsite at HRock.....I won't get FOTL and that's a REAL perk! Oh dec'ns dec'ns... :confused3

I booked a room tonight.at the HRH through hotelkingdom.com for $199/night. I told myself if I could get a room for under $200/night I'd book it. I am so excited to be staying on Universal property. :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are staying Royal Pacific Nov 11-14 and got a rate of 177 a nite.
I booked this through the website as a special promotion yesterday where you get 15% off a 3 nite stay. I also called 800 number yesterday and they couldn't even come close to this price.

Just booked Royal Pacific for night of 11/12 at 179.20 with AAA discount.

Rate is OK but sure would like to see it come down. For you regulars, any hope of that?

If you just need a room and not tickets, you should check out Hotelkingdom.com. They have RP for $179, HRH for $199 and PB for $234 for many November dates. Not huge bargains, but 20% off rack rate.

I booked this rate directly with RPH after seeing the rate advertised on Expedia's website. I called and asked for the best rate and they intially gave me a $249 rate. I then explained that I can get it for $177 through expedia and they put me on hold for what seemed like 30 minutes...but when the lady came back on she said that they did verify that rate and can go ahead and reserve it for the same price. This doesn't e=include theme park tickets or anything but if you go to mousesavers you'll find a link that can get you 7 days at both parks for the price of 1...an extreme deal!!
