I belong to the Disney Club and I have the coupon number for National which they call a contract ID. But from reading some posts here they mention a contract # and a coupon #. Need some clarification . ALso since I belong to the Disney Club I get the Emerald Club free, but do I have to sign up for it or do I get it automatically when I make the reservations online? Sorry this is so long. I confuse VERY easily.

I'm not a DC member, but I think I can help a little. The number you have is the Contract ID #. This looks like it will save you 20%. You can also use a coupon - I think there is one on the DC website for a free day. As far as EC, from what I have been reading, you need to call DC and ask them to send you a form to sign up for EC. Some people are signing up at Capital One's website even without a Capital One credit card. I signed up on their website and didn't have to use my Capital One credit card number - but I have one in case you have to have it when picking up the car. Doubt that they will even ask. Also, if you use a coupon, don't forget to print it out and bring it with you as well as a copy of your insurance card just in case you need it.

Hope I didn't confuse you further.

Thank you! That makes it so much easier for me. I'll call the DC and ask for that form tomorrow. Thanks again!

Once you mail in the form it takes a while to get your membership # and packet mailed to you. If you need the number right away you can call the DC/National phone number and ask them for your Emerald number.

i was able to join emerald club through a link through capital one. If you go to the
national site to sign up it says instant signup is not available. I got my member
# immediately online

You can find two numbers on the DC web site if yo do a search for National and click on the offers. The DC contract # begins with a 5. Coupon #'s begin with a 1. There are seperate places to enter these numbers if you make a National reservation on-line. As for EC you need to sign up seperately. The membership is of no benefit when you make the reservation so you can go ahead and make the ressie without it. If it takes some time to get your EC membership number just make sure you call and update your ressie to include your EC number. Good luck.
