Our first day at Disneyland will be a Sunday, and we won't arrive until midafternoon. I'm going to assume it will be busy, so any advice to rides that load fast and/or have shorter lines? I have this vague memory of Pirates of the Carribean having a fairly fast moving line, but maybe I was just excited so it didn't seem long! :goodvibes
Thanks for any help!

Pirates
Haunted Mansion
Star Tours
These would be good bets for fast loading times.
Other tips:
Hit rides while everyone is watching parade or fireworks.
Make use of fast pass if you can.
Make use of single rider line for Splash.
A few minutes before closing get in line for your most favorite ride - we usually hit Indy- as long as you are in line before closing time they will let you ride. The last half hour before closing is a great time to do most of Fantasyland or squeeze in two longish rides that are near each other like Pirates and Haunted (or Jungle Cruise and Indy).
Last year on a Sunday in May:
On Snow White the CM asked if we would like to go again since no one was waiting- umm sure! LOL My boys laughed at the time and they still talk about it a year later.

We went at a very slow time of the year and so had few queues - we were also able to step off Snow White and get straight back on! (Our 5YO was so scared of the concept she rode the first time with hey eyes shut. We convinced her it wasn't that scary so she did it again with eyes open!)
But the rides that always had queue and took a while to load were Peter Pan, and Dumbo. The matterhorn also required a bit of queueing and the slowest loading ride in the whole park would have to be the Gadget Coaster in Toontown - one train per track.
The queue for Indy seemed long but it moved well. Abd other rides like Small world, every time the queue built up they just added more boats and a second loading platform.
