I am planning a trip to Disneyworld for my family (myself, my husband, mom, dad, sister, 2 daughters - one 3, the other will be 8 mo. old) for Dec. 15-19. My plans are to get 2 adjoining rooms at Pop. I was quoted a package of a little over $2100.00 from Dreams Unlimited which included 5 day park hopping tickets. Here is my dilemma:

My sister is a Florida Resident and has a valid military ID. I read somewhere that she can get a Florida SEASONAL pass (with military discount) for $199 with tax. Wouldn't this make her an AP? If so, she could have the option of purchasing the DDE card and I'm sure later on in the season could get an AP discount on our rooms when the codes come out for that time of year (which is barely, yet still, the value season)? So, my question is: Would it be worth it to do this? Does anyone know where she can purchase that pass with the military discount (I'm not sure their base will be much help)?

Any advice on this trip would be appreciated.

Thanks!

She should be able to get it at her military base, they have a recreation center type place that sells them...don't know what they're called, but she should. Yes, I would think it would save you quite a bit with that disount code when they come out. If not an AP discount, at least a FL res code if she books it. Good luck!

If she's military, have you considered staying at SOG? As I understand it, with a valid military ID (or does it have to be active duty?) she could reserve multiple rooms (up to 3?). I hear that the rooms are larger and the resort is nice and sometimes less expensive than the Disney resorts. Something to think about . . .
