If you want to try National, they have good rates right now. We have an intermediate 8 day rental for $118 and change. I'm using the priceless vacation code (6600330) and entertainment coupon (10009123). You do need to have the coupon. You will find it on these boards, or maybe someone will post a link. :)

Nik's Mom,

Thanks for the info for National. I booked a compact with Budget for $115/week. Then I tried your National codes (I have the Entertainment Book) and got an Intermediate for $100!

Thanks a lot...

Could you please tell me what the "priceless vacation code" is? Is it an Disney offer? Thanks

I think it's a travel vacation club or agency. Many people have used the code without any problems. It's even posted on Mary's website. The code is 6600330. Yes, I know it by heart now. I punch it in at least once a day to see if my rate has gone down. :flower:

Thank you for the info, I appreciate it. I didn't want to use the code, and then later find out it required a membership or something.

Go to www.mousesavers.com

Mary has compiled a list of different discount codes for several different rental agencies. Mousesavers is also a great place for other up-to-date info that can save you money and help manage your time better.

Good luck and have fun!

I've found my best car rental rates at one of three places:
*www.lmcarrental.net (L & M car rental is in-terminal at Orlando - fabulous service);
*hotwire.com
*priceline.com

What I'll often do is book the rate as low as I can through a rental agency's website (checking back often and re-booking if a lower rate comes available), then about 3 weeks before travelling, try undercutting that rate on hotwire or priceline and prepaying the car rental. Sometimes you can, but not always.

It take some time, but I've gotten some incredible rates before! I paid $130 after taxes for a full-sized last year for a week! :banana:
