I just got our confirmation information for Discovery Cove and it states "don't bring suntan lotion". Are you provided with or can you buy a "safe" suntan lotion their? My family members are all blond and fair skinnned. Thanks for any info. :sunny:

They provide you with Dolphin safe sunscreen(It is a bahamma Joe type if I remember correctly) You get a little squeeze pouch of it that was plenty for us- but I think they even have more in a pump in the restroom. And I know they sell it at the park- but I don't think you'll need to buy any. Have Fun!!!

It's all free and it's very good too. They know two things. Guests will be outside, in the sun, all day, probably snorkeling with the back of their necks exposed. And they know what's good and bad for their animals. All the free Panama Jack sunscreen you can use. Too bad you can't take even more with you...but their obviously not stupid at DC either....
You're gonna love it! Be sure to bring an underwater, disposable camera!!!!

We have been to Discovery Cove twice now and the Sun cream was different (and in my opinion) much better last year than when we went in 2002. In 2002 when we went we applied plenty of the suncream - if I remeber it came in small bottles - and applied it frequently, and all four of us burnt quite badly, it was also increadibly thick and white and hard to rub in. The pouches of suncream we were given last August were much better and none of us got burnt. I am now hoping that finances will stretch to us visiting again this year but since DH's redundancy things have been tight he was out of work for 9 months so we will have to wait and see!!!
