hi
as you all know from my new ticker im going in november. last year we went in september, which was perfect. we could literally walk onto most if not all rides most if not all of the time. so we had it cushy. im just wondering how busy it is in november? would i find the same queues?

We have been the fist two weeks of November before and found it a lovely time to go.
Looks like you might be able to catch the last couple of days of the F & W Festival Click here (http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/epcot/events/index.htm) for info.

Hi Lucy - we were there in November 2003 from the 5th until the 20th (I think) the weather was great- warm without being too hot to move - although we needed a sweat shirt a couple of days - the queues were non existent first thing in the morning but got a bit busier later in the day - fine by me I did DisneyLand in September a few years ago and it was so empty there was no atmosphere! You won't realise how many people are in the park until they all appear at parade time! lol
We came home before Thanksgiving but I hear that the day and the weekend following are one of the busiest periods of the year!
We'll be there in November too for our wedding trip - and i can't wait :0)

Your last two days might be busy with people starting an early Thanksgiving holiday (according to someone I know came home on Thanksgiving last year), but the rest of the time crowds will be low.

We did those exact dates last year. The parks were quiet to start off with and when we did MGM at the start of Thanksgiving week it was dead! As steve_rob suggested the last 2 days were manic - this is not the best time to fit lots of rides in but the atmosphere was good and most of the parks stayed open longer.
The weather was particular good last year - there were days when it was almost to hot to do much and we were able to enjoy Typhoon Lagoon (Blizzard Beach was closed for rehab so I guess it will be TL this year.) I think there was only one day when it rained heavily - watch the speed the plastic macs appear in the shops!
By the time we left most of the Christmas decorations were up which was nice but it was strange walking round in the heat the week before listening to Christmas songs.
I'm sure you'll have a great time - can I stowaway in your suitcase?

you can stow away anytime. its big enough. we stayed at akl last year but this time were doing the villa thing so were not going to take as much stuff. i think as it was our first time we did overkill. most of the stuff went home untouched.
up to now i have got 4 park orlando flexi tickets. i might get the ten day hopper plus with no expiry as we'll only use a few days and we can use it next time. i guess im right in thinking that the more days i buy the cheaper it works out for individual days. if you know what i mean. then if we go again next year we wont have to buy the disney tickets.
who else has done this?

I am going in november this year for the second time. We chose that time *** it is so quiet in the parks and you can walk on almost all the rides. I am going from the 17th til 1st December. If anyone wants to meet up let me know.

Hmm - that's what we thought but it appears that TL and BB close for the same months year in year out ie BB at the end of the year and TL in the beginning months. It's odd I think as if you take your trip at the same time each year (which we probably will do now as November is the BEST month) you'll never get to experience BB!
Anyone know why Disney made this decision?

They did for some years but this swapped over last time. I think it was due to the new ride they have developed at TL?

Hi,
I've been in November on several occassions now. You will find it very quiet compared to September and can practically walk on any ride with no wait.
Down side is Disney tends to consider this month to be re-hab month. Blizzard Beach tends to be closed and the parks close as early as 5pm for AK.

Hmm interesting - I wonder if that means BB will be open this November? Although I hope not as I want to try the new slides at TL!!!!!
Surely they wouldn't close TL 8 months after they just opened it again...

I,m going in november from 7th -21st this is really good to know that the weather will not be to cold, last year we went in april it was quite hot and the queues for the some of the rides seemed to go on forever but we used the fastpass which was really useful. :rolleyes1

November is a great time of year to visit Disney!! :sunny: We ( DH, DS10, DD8 & myself...DM) stayed at the Yacht Club Nov. 2003. :flower:
We went the full week before Thanksgiving, and left Thanksgiving Day. IT was terrific. We liked it so much that we have another trip booked for Nov. 13-20 at Beach Club Villas. We are SOOOO excited!! The weather was awesome. A little chilly in the morning. Nice in the evenings. We were lucky not to get one drop of rain all 7 days. AND enjoyed Typhoon Lagoon our last day. We all got a tan.
I do think that I read somewhere that Typhoon is closed in NOV. 2005 :confused3 They loved swimming with the sharks and the wave pool!!
My kids are disappointed. BUT, BB was closed the last time we were there, so they can try it out this time.
The only time we had to wait in lines were on Saturday and Sunday. There was a college football game in town on Sat. SO, they took advantage of the Disney Magic also.
You won't regret booking in November. Let's hope the weather is on our side!! :sunny:

I read too, that TL would be closed but I keep getting conflicting advice, I also thought they wouldn't close it again after its only just been closed so maybe it won't , the shark reef is so cool my DS LOVED it so I'm really hoping it won't be shut this year. I don't think (?) BB has anything like it.
can't wait til november 12

Just confirming what everyone else has said - November is a great time to go. We go every November, although we stay on the Gulf beaches and then drive up to Orlando for a few days. The parks aren't exactly empty, but the queues are maybe 20 - 30 minutes max, and that's without Fastpass. The weather should be good too - not too unbearable and usually dry. We are going this year from 5th - 20th as it does get busier at Thanksgiving.

:sunny: Hi
We went the first two weeks of november last year. The first week was hotter than their normal. The second week was cooler but you still only needed a light cardigan for the evening.
Not sure about dates but Supersoap weekend at MGM was in the middle of November last year. We didn't realise and had planned our last day there. It was rearly packed, plus we didn't know any of the soaps featured. I would avoid it if you could.

Oh no please don't let them close TL - although I would love to do BB again, and my DH2B has never done it as he's only been once with me and it was shut... but I really am a bigger fan of TL - those steps at BB just kill me and its much more out in the open and hot... although thinking about it the dark slide is kinda cool and the family raft... but NO I want to do the new slides at TL :0(
Of course if BB were open it would always be a good excuse to book a 2006 trip...

Sorry not been in November before, going this year in november and the info seems really good also seems like a better time of year to go, we went in April 2004 for our 1st trip and unless we used the fastpass we would have queued for a min of 1hr.
Will try to stop by, but flying home that day :sad2:

Karen, When we stayed at the Yacht Club in Nov. 2003, Our room was directly looking over the Pavilion! We were on the third floor looking towards Epcot. We watched the fireworks almost every night!! WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE!! The view couldn't get any better! We watched two weddings from our balcony. We loved it!! :lovestruc Congratulations! The setting with the light house and the water! You are so lucky! Have a wonderful day. I would love to stop by, but we are leaving on the 20th :sad2: I HATE LEAVING DISNEY!!
You will have a magical time! Take care!!! :flower: Lori :)

Hi,
I either go in November or May.
November is great for beating crowds , but the downside is some attractions are closed for rehab. In the past I've found Blizzard Beach to be one of these.

We were there from the 4th to the 26th November last year and it was excellent, weather and crowds were fantastic. The only day that we found busy was MGM on Thanksgiving - but I had to go that day to see the switching on of the Osboune Family Lights.
I would agree with what some other posters have said about taking a cardi or something for evenings as I tended to get a bit chilly when we were waiting for parades / fireworks etc.
I am very jealous ! Hope you have a fab time and enjoy all of your planning - it starts your holiday early!!
Love

We've been twice in November around thanksgiving time - parks generally busier around thanksgiving, your better off going shopping on those days. Taking something warm to wear is a good tip.
When we went in Nov 2003 it was freezing in the evenings and earlier mornings. Keep a check on the weather channels while your there, the weather forecasters are very accurate if forecasting the weather. If they say it will rain :umbrella: at noon it WILL.
