I've heard that the Cracker Barrel is a good, reasonable restaurant for families. Is there one on 192? If so, is it east or west? I'm somewhat familiar with the area so any info on where it is would be appreciated. Thanks! <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz">

think it is close to old town...on the same side of the road as it....but construction is horrible on that stretch NOW..

Just look for the giant orange. Cracker Barrell is almost directly across the street from it. If you are heading east from Disney World, Cracker Barrell is on the right past Old Town.

Cracker Barrel has good home cooking. The portions are plentiful. They serve breakfast anytime and have daily specials. One of my favorites there is country fried steak, mashed potatoes and two side dishes for around $8.00. The menu has a variety of items from salads to main dishes.

Enjoy

We love eatting at Cracker Barrell on the way down to Disney!! Even the kids think it is the neatest place to eat. We stop for breakfast there, usually at around 6 or so, right after they open. Since we have always gone to disney in the winter months, it is still cold outside, and when you go in, they have the fireplace going. So cozy!!! The restaurants are now in our area (before the closest one to us was in VA!), and we do go there from time to time. It's just not the same without the trip to disney!! There is something about pulling 3 kids out of a cram-packed van, in the dark and cold, to go inside and sit by the fire and hear them ask "Are we almost there yet?", that gives the restaurant its charm!!

Sending a little pixie dust your way to brighten up your day!

The Cracker Barrel is located on 192 headed away from Disney. It is indeed right across from the GIANT ORANGE ;). There is a Pizza Uno and another restaurant there. We own at the Fairfield Cypress Palms, which is right behind the Cracker Barrel, and we ate there 3 times on our last visit. The service was a bit eratic, but I find that common in alot of restaurants on 192. The food is excellent, though.
