Should you tip your mouse keepers daily or at the end of your stay?

I've heard daily - I'm sure that that is correct though. I'm a big help right? :teeth:

Definitely daily - each day, you could potentially have different mousekeepers in your room. You want to make sure that the 'right' mousekeeper each day gets the tip! Besides, it will 'spread' the magic...if you tip them nice, they may just leave some surprises each day, like towel-animals and such! :goodvibes

How much do you customarily tip them?

Tip Daily a dollar a day, make sure you put it in an envelope label mouse-keeper and put it in a very visual place.

Is this a Dinsey thing or does one tip the housekeeping staff at any hotel? This shows how often I stay in a hotel. :sad2:

We have traveled for years and to many parts of the country and the customery tip is $1 per person per day. Here is a website for some cool envelopes (http://www.arwolff.com/heidi/) to use to put your tips in. I also read a suggestion to put a little candy or something like that in the envelope too 'cause you might get some extra attention in your room.

Also $5 for 4 persons...has always been very good. Tons of towels, and soaps etc.

I can also vouch that $5 a day for four people will be appreciated. Both of our stays, once at Movies and once at Pop Century we received numerous towel animals, extra soap, extra towels and even a couple of handwritten thank you notes. Even though I try to leave our room very picked up I know that 4 people in one room/bathroom, after multiple showers and eating stuff in the room, can make a big mess. On our last stay at Pop we also got a refrigerator put in our room. We called housekeeping and the desk a couple times each and it never got taken away and we were not charged. I think it was because the mousekeeper had noticed DH making several trips to get ice one morning to keep our canned drinks cold and maybe thought what the heck! These people work hard for very little and I just figure if we can afford to go to Disney, we can afford to tip. A lot of people feel differently, my brother for instance who has a lot of money refuses to tip. He tips very well in restuarants but won't tip housekeepers, I don't get it. Bet he never gets a towel animal if he goes to WDW!
