I "won" the DVC Screensaver from the Members Only site, only to get an "invalid on Win32" code when I try & run it. I am operating Windows 98 v2. Help!! Does anyone have this one yet? I am such a "tweek geek" & am trying to make a DVC desk top theme.

Thanks!

This problem has arisen in the past threads, the most common problem is, that when you 'won' you were given the choice of either the PC version or the MAC version. I will assume that since you are running a Windows 98 enviroment you should have downloaded the PC version. Sounds like your problem is that you accidently downloaded the MAC version.

Thanks, but I know I clicked on PC, cuz I went back & "won" again just to make sure. Both times I got the same message. Hmm, maybe I should download for Mac?! *grins*

I can't help because it works for me--but be careful what you wish for--if you don't turn the computer off you get a "pixie dust sprinkle" noise all of the time! It drives DH nuts!:)

Sorry JAZZ_ESCAPE, that was my best shot. However, I will also add that I uninsatlled it because when I went to resume my work, after the DVC screen saver ran, I couldn't get my task bar back.

DVCDAVE,

I had problems with the disappearing task bar as well. I stumbled upon the task manager one day and noticed the screen saver listed as still running even though it wasn't. If you bring up the task manager (CTRL + ALT + Delete), you can end the DVC screen saver from there, and the task bar comes back. Seems the screen saver doesn't completely shut down occassionally.

I didn't experience the problems you folks have mentioned but found that my PC "locked up" after 10 minutes of the screensaver running.
I decided to uninstall it. Too bad because it's pretty neat!!

I didn't experience the problems you folks mentioned but did have my PC "lock up" constantly after the screensaver ran for more than 10 or so minutes.
I decided to uninstall it. Too bad, it's pretty neat!!

If you want to exit the program, hit escape, the task bar comes back as does the main screen.
