I need your opinion….

My DH and I are using some airline credit for a 3 night trip to FL…. WITHOUT THE KIDS!!!. We going to do 2 nights in Vero Ocean View Inn Room and then one night in WDW. Where should we stay???? This is a Friday night and we don’t need to do much in the parks, if anything. Maybe do one or two things in MK or Epcot and a nice dinner.

SSR - Fun to try out this new DVC. DTD for the evening? Dinner at Wolfgang Pucks? 26pts.

AKL - Just got back from there and loved it! Jiko and Boma are the best. Rack Rate $320 (would love to do the Sunset Safari but probably too much $$$ …$300 + concierge )

Poly – Have wanted to go here. Watch Wishes from the beach. CG or Kona for dinner. Monorail to Epcot? Or dinner in the WS Seems romantic here. Rack Rate $395 GV

VWL - Lovely resort that we haven’t stay in yet. DVC near MK. Dinner at CG or Kona. 29pts.

BWV - We have stayed in BCV twice, it would be nice to visit that other resort. Dinner in the WS. 29pts.

Other – Your suggestions

Voted AKL because I believe it is the best themed resort on property

For us, it would be VWL, dinner at Artist Point, walking around the grounds, to the beach for EWP.

I voted SSR b/c I love it there and also b/c it's close to Downtown Disney, which I LOVE. And I never get to do Pleasure Island when we have the kids with us.

OK, it's an even tie right now!

I voted SSR. This is our favorite DVC resort. Ask for a Downtown Disney view and enjoy the lights as they dance across the lake while you enjoy a glass of wine on your balcony! Don't forget to take a walk along the lake at twilight and enjoy the sunset over the lake. Finally, treat yourselves to a couple's massage at the spa.

Sound’s perfect to me!

Ohhh! A couples massage! That sound really nice. I've never had a massage before, that would make it more fun with two!

I voted SSR. You can dance the night away at PI after supper and settle down for a good night's sleep at DVC's newest resort.

I voted for VWL. I'd want something different after a stay at the beach.

Good luck deciding! :)

I voted for SSR, since it is the newest resort that you probably know the least about. Plus, as you mentioned, if you and DH want entertainment, it is right there. And if you don't, I suggest a nice massage at the spa : ) A great and relaxing way to end your trip.

If they offer couples massages as SSR, like they do at the Grand Floridian, do that! DH and I did that many years ago when we stayed at PO. We are due to go to BCV for first trip "home" as DVC members next month! "Disney Dreaming" till then!

I voted for BWV - I think the World Showcase is very romantic, especially at Dusk! :love2:

It's looking like SSR is getting a few more votes then the rest. It would make a nice adult evening in DTD.

I called yesterday to see about availability at the DVC Resorts for a studio on Friday May 20th. Well, it appears I can take my pick. Every resort had a studio in every catagory (BW View, Std., and Preferred). Hummm... the coveted Boardwalk View!??!?! And just when I was thinking of crossing that one off the list.

Anyone else want to vote?
