hotels on the beaches

We are going for the first time next month. In addition to WDW we are spending a night at treasure island/st petersburg we have a room at the holiday inn treasure is. Has anyone stayed there and what can you tell me about it? We want a nice beach to let the kids splash at (age 8 and 4). Also at the end of our trip we are going to KSC and staying 2 nights at the hampton inn at cocoa beach, any info on either of these hotels will be helpful. thanks Lisa

We also have a reservation from the Hampton Inn Cocoa Beach--Please post when you get back about rooms, beach etc.!! Sorry I can't help but if you do a seach on Hampton Cocoa there are a couple of posts!

I don't know about the Holiday Inn, but boy is that place(treasure Island) NEAT!! I went there for a day a few years ago and it was cold and the wind was so strong we had sand thrown in our face, but we were in Florida and on vacation so we are going to the beach!! haha. So anyway, that beach- I would love to go back when its nice outside-and warm. But I remember the little shops all along the street there -it was neat. It was how I pictured FL to be. But then the next trip we went to Cocoa Beach after hearing how great it is there, and talk about disappointment!!!!!!! UUgghh-I will never go there again!! This time we are going to Clearwater Beach- ever been there???Have fun at TI!!! :bounce:
