I started Atkins about 1-1/2 months ago, and I'm down 23 pounds already and 2 sizes! My friend is having a garage sale today and I was able to put all my 16's and most of my 14's in it!! I can't believe I'm wearing 12's in only a month-and-a-half!

Great job!!! I hope you make enough money to buy yourself a new size 12 outfit. :flower:

Did you sell your old clothes? I'm having a garage sale in early spring and was wondering whether or not clothes sell well. I have both dress and sports clothes that are too large.

In my experience, selling clothes at a garage sale can be hit or miss. I take my nice clothes to a consignment shop. It's a bit of work, but I definitely make more money that way.

I'm my nicer things on eBay and getting some decent money for pretty much everything. I've also started a box of just winter clothes and I'll eBay those next fall when the season is starting up for those things. I figure it will go toward my new *smaller* wardrobe or our trip next year. Every little bit adds ups.

I also agree with sending them over to a consignment shop, especially if you don't have the time to take good pics, write descriptions, etc.. for eBay. Unfortunately the good local shops take 60% and most of the time their prices are almost as high as a good sale so people are not shopping there as much.

GL with your sales and congrats on the weight loss!

Well, some of the clothes went and the ones that didn't will go to Goodwill on Monday.

It is hit or miss with selling clothes at a garage sale. You have to get just the right person or people who are looking for clothes!

Presentation--if people have to rummage through a box--it's work for them and they think you care less about the items in the box.
