Hi, :wave2: I'm new to the boards. I have been lurking for a while now and have finally built up the courage to join!! These boards are great and I'm sure I will be back lots picking up tips.

I am going on my 8th trip to Disney World in October. The plan is to spend three nights at Caribbean Beach and then two weeks in a villa at Sunset Lakes.
I have never stayed at Caribbean Beach, has anyone stayed there? what did you think? I have been reading posts that say it is very spread out. I am going with my parents and my Mum has MS so has trouble walking long distances. We will have a car and plan to book a preferred location room. Do you think it may still be to much walking?

Thanks

hi Victoria and welcome. I have not stayed there, we stayed at the all star movies, but I am sure it will be fantastic. there are lots of buses so your mom should be ok.

have a great time and welcome

Hey...looks like we'll just miss each other! Another thing you can look into is a wheel chair. I believe they are free to rent at the resorts. I could be wrong about this, but they are available if needed.

Hi Victoria and Welcome to the Boards

We stayed at the CBR back in 2000 in the Martinique Building :) This was a very short stroll to the food court etc so if you can request this one that would be good.

Have you seen the Caribbean Beach Resort FAQ (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=568915) and Part 2 (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?threadid=655543)

Don't for get to come and join us on the UK Community Board (http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=46)

Hi  and welcome to the DIS UK Boards :)

Have you seen this resort map (http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/cbrmap.jpg)? It may help to give you an idea of the size of the resort. It's such a pretty resort I'm sure you'll love it :)

Another warm welcome to the Dis from me :)

We stayed at All Star Movies and Saratoga Springs Resort in December and I had read all sorts of horror stories about how spread out they were but we found them fine. I haven't been to CBR myself so can't comment on that, but if you've got a preferred location it should be close for you all :)
