Is anyone getting the $79. fares at www.southwestair.com?? I have tried every date and it keeps giving me that stupid computer grin. I just want to scream when I see it. I have lost hope of ever getting a low fare there!!!:( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I guess we are lucky. Albany, NY to Orlando in Nov for $89.50 r/t. Hartford to Orlando in Oct for $75 r/t. Thanks to the low fares we get to go twice. Oct is a business trip and the family will come along. Nov is pure vacation. Hope you get lucky too.

Well, I was pretty lucky. I reserved the internet one-way rate for November and am only paying $167 for two RT tickets. That is total with all taxes. The rates were around $36 each way. Keep trying!!

If you are getting that stupid computer grin..is there any chance you are trying to book past Jan 11, the last date they are taking bookings? I just tried The week leading up to Christmas, from Albany, and it's still a nice cheap rate, as long as you leave on and return on Tuesday. Even if they are full, I get a screen showing that...I only get the computer grin, if I try to go past Jan 11!

I didn't buy during the last "internet sale" thinking my $147 rate from Birmingham, AL, would surely go down a little more, since I've seen it around $100 or less many times in the past. But no such luck, it actually went up a few dollars! The fare is now $154 round trip.  I'm still keeping my fingers crossed since we aren't going until after Thanksgiving.

When you get that "grin" what does the message say? Usually the message will answer your question.

The Computer grin says "that rate not available"

Found out, after a phone call to Southwest that they are off line from 11pm to 1am pacific time every night!! So no search works!!! Well, due to teenage Dd ,thats the time I start searching !!

Tonght I went on at 10:30pm and got the $79.[more like $88. oneway and $175.rt.] for the same dates I was using last night.

Computers????

Glad you got the good rate!!!! Guess we know when they do their backup, thanks. Nothing wrong with their computers, in fact, it shows good maintainance.

I found $75/rt pp ns direct flights from BDL (Bradley~CT) to MCO (Orlando) for September
and December! We're flying in Oct-Nov at $93/rt pp ns direct.

My dh and I had a hard time picking (this was last week). So we decided to do both! Are they still promoting the "Fly 4 get 1 free?"

We booked the 6 tickets on line and was told that we were entitled to a free SWA tix the next time we book! Yay!

Last time I checked (a few days ago) it was still offered. Also, from BDL to Washington, DC is $30 each way or $60/rt! What a deal................

Does anybody know if Southwest flies out of Newark, NJ? I went to their site and NJ isn't listed so I am assuming I'm out of luck. Thanks, Carolyn

What they list is what they have. Unfortunately, Newark is not one of them. BUT....how far are you from LI?

Thanks but I think Long Island would be too far, about an hour and a half verses 25 minutes to Newark. Thanks, Carolyn

I see your point. :) Our ride to Bradley is about 45 mins. But, have no problem trekking to Providence, 90 mins, if the fares are truly a savings.
