I was told the first of Feb and also to check Sunday's paper. Nothing in our paper except the WI Dells this week. I called on Friday.

I'm hoping Ground Hog's Day brings us all some luck.

Nothing in our paper today. Nothing to have anything to do with Disney any how. I really hope to get a discount. I already took a few days off of our trip. I will go no matter what but it is nice to go for less.

Do they usually offer specials for May? I thought last year the codes ended April 30 :confused3 I sure hope they do offer discounts...plus maybe they'll want to drum up some business for the kickoff of Disneyland's 50th anniversary celebration??

I called to see if I have a PIN, but I don't. She said to keep calling for summer discounts (we are going the last week in June). She said the postcards are random, but you never know when you will get one, so be looking. I sure hope I get one!

I suppose I should get in on this thread. We are going the end of April and staying at the Dolphin. We wouldn't mind getting a code to stay at a Disney resort, but I do not hold out much hope given that the previous codes ended just before we go.

By the way, last year the codes for May came out the end of February. I think it was the 22nd. We went in May on a travel employee code, but this year we are not eligible. Too bad, they were great discounts. Come on WDW, bring on the codes. Jay

Actually AP Rates came out March 9th. However, I believe there was some other code that came out right before that, maybe a Disney Visa code or something like that.

::MickeyMo Actually I found the discount on a different website, and it was in Feb. when I found it. This was after the postcards were mail out for the April dead line, we book on the last it was to expire and we were able to carry the rate for the entire stay. I guess they post the codes at a certain time, if they do not get the response from they thought from the mail outs. ::MickeyMo

I have no reservations for a May 18-25 trip! I'm getting anxious and will probably have to bite the bullet and make some soon. I am hoping for a really good rate at PO-FQ for a couple of days and then a move to Pop. Isabella and I are going to celebrate 'mommy and girl time.' The adoption almost certainly won't be formalized by them - (IF ever) but this is important to her and was promised when we thought the process would go more smoothly. It's hard to explain legal procedures to a 6 year old!

French Quarter is her all time favorite place! My sister and her little guy are joining us for a few days of the trip and they want to stay at Pop Century so we're willing to move. Anyway, I need great AP rates or a wonderful code of some type. I'm checking in here and on Mousesavers frequently. I call CRO from time to time.

Thanks everyone for keeping me updated! Here's :wizard: some magic that you all get the best rooms at the best rate. :wave2:

Here is when all “public” codes came out for last summer. Notice AP rates for 4/18-7/4 didn’t come out until March 9th. I would not expect to see them until then. Disney Visa codes have been few and far between. I have full confidence the codes will come out, just keep checking and they will come. I don’t personally think the new ticket prices will have any affect on codes being offered. If you look at the history at mousesavers.com, they have offered AP rates all year long, or basically all year long. Relax, be diligent about checking and you will get your code.

The first dates are the dates the code was available to be booked, then it lists who qualified for the code and finally the date the code came out and when it had to be booked by.

4/18/04-6/5/04 "available to anyone" code for Ft. Wilderness campsites & cabins 1/20/04, exp 3/31/04

Last year they had the stay for 7 nights pay for 5 deal, do you think they would put out any discounts for packages this year with their 4 for 1500 deal? I sure hope so. We have MYW plus dining for 6 nights, sure would be nice to add one night and have two be free, we could afford to upgrade to a moderate or deluxe at that rate.

02-02-2005, 09:38 AM
My guess is that there will be some sort of discount codes coming out - I don't think the coming 50th celebration would mean no codes. If anything I'd guess they'd want to make sure that folks WANT to come and fill up the parks. Releasing some discounts are the way to attract more attention to the celebration too. If you have a party and attendance is spotty that doesn't look too good does it? At least that is my hope :earboy2:

I was just deleting some old mail and noticed that all the "Passholder savings" e-mails were sent 2 months before the date the codes were good for. I know that sounded confusing, so I'll try to explain. Since August I've gotten e-mails from Disney about AP codes (someone mentioned these earlier on the thread) 'a day before they're released', or so Disney claims. Anyway, I got an e-mail for the October 31-December AP rates on August 25th, January-February e-mail came on October 20th, and February-April e-mail came on December 27th. So, if that follows for the April-July codes, then I should get that e-mail within the next 2 weeks! Of course, we all know Disney is unpredictable, so don't get excited, but since they've all come about 2 months before the 1st check-in date, that would be February 17th (or around there). So that's what I'm hoping for. Not sure if this was already mentioned as I haven't read all 20 pages very carefully, but maybe it's an idea.

We are all in the same boat. How many times a day do you check? Now that it is getting closer I’m going to start worrying about which moderates are going to possibly have discounts during the time we are visiting. Keeping my fingers crossed that all works out the way that I want it to. I know, I know nothing is guaranteed and if I want the discount I have to be willing to switch from CSR to somewhere else. It would be great if AKL, WL or any other deluxe was the same or less then my booked rate of $166.00 w/tax. That would be a no brainer but my luck doesn’t run that way.

I remember last year's codes very well, and probably will forever. The Disney Visa codes came out the weekend before my daughter was born and the AP codes a week after we got home from the hospital! I remember calling to switch our rate while holding our newborn and sitting on one of those donuts still sore from the stitches, but I was afraid if I waited till my husband got home we'd miss out. Of course now it sounds stupid, but at the time, well....

By the way, Cheryl, we have a postcard rate at AKL for April and our rate is $166/night for savannah view. WL wasn't available. Hopefully when the AP rates come out you can get that rate or better!

My one and only was born on February 10th and I can remember the weather, what I had to eat, what I was doing when I went into labor 21 hours prior to giving birth, the dinner my husband had in the birthing room 2 hours before she was born and that was almost 16 years ago! I can’t remember what I had for dinner two days ago but all those memories from 16 years ago will come flooding back to me next week starting on the 9th when I will tell her and my husband, “this time 16 years ago I was watching the first President Bush give his state of the union address when I started having these pains and thought they were those Braxton Hicks (spelling?) things that I had read about.

Thanks for the information. Keeping my fingers crossed for CSR, standard view, $94.00 to $116.00 with tax. AP or general room only code. I’ll light some candles!

She took time to explain them, as if I didn't know what they were, so I played along. Then she told me that, while she didn't know for certain, she was sure that general(she had a different name for them) codes would be coming out in a couple weeks.
Of course she said, I'm not promising anything, but just keep your eyes open. She did mention "print and television"

Sorry to hijack this thread for a moment, but you ladies would LOVE the Gilmore Girls episode from the first season, I think it's called "Rory's Birthday". Lorelei tells her labor and delivery story to her daughter every year on the Rory's birthday. One of my favorites, because I have an only daughter too.

I'm watching too for a friend of mine from work who is going the last week in June. Do you think they will release general public codes since they have changed the way the packages are priced. They are publicizing this whole new 'Disney is cheaper' angle so I am worried that they may not offer as many deals and discount codes as they have in the past.

I've been checking everyday for June. I have a few links on my startup page that allow me to check discount codes frequently. I know last summer in early June we stayed at AKL for $132 a night with a to die for pool view!! We also stayed at the Contemporary for around $166 (garden wing). These were annual passholder rates. Sometimes the codes for the general public beat the Annual Passholder Rate though. I always check both.
Good luck to everyone!!

Oh My! I can't imagine! Well at least it sounds like you still get to go on vacation anyways. If this happened with our taxes we would be 'grounded' for at least a year! We just sent ours in and we have a refund coming, so at least we don't have to worry about that.

I agree, LauraAnn! I had never stayed at a Value resort before this past September, and now that I have, I don't know why we ever paid so much money at the other places. Since it's just the 2 of us adults, the space in the room is fine, and we don't mind being on the busses. I would MUCH rather pay $55/night (special 5+2 deal last fall) and spend the other money on fun stuff! Plus, we stayed at POP and the theming is AWESOME! I really felt more immersed in Disney for my entire stay than I had at the other places we've stayed. I have stayed at the Deluxes, and IMO it's not really THAT much of a difference to be worth charging $250 more a night.

Cottontail, we paid just under $100 per night last June at Coronado Springs with a Disney VISA code last year. That price was including tax. I'd love for something like that again!

I feel absolutely ridiculous for spending so much time obsessing about this! But.....our potential May trip was just sort of a wild idea so if we don't get a discount on a room, we probably won't go at this time.

And....I REALLY want to go!!! Here's hoping!

If you can get a Mod for $89 a night, those are pretty nice. I have stayed at the value resorts and they are fine too, but I do see why the Moderates may be more appealing than the Value resorts. But the Deluxes are way too pricey (although we are DVC members, so we do stay at Deluxe when I am not out of points).

• Value Resorts - $74 standard, $84 preferred view
• Moderates - $94 standard, $109 preferred view
• Wilderness Lodge - $139 standard, $154 woods view
• Animal Kingdom Lodge - $139 standard
• Boardwalk, Beach/Yacht Club - $229 standard
• Polynesian - $244 garden view, $340 garden view concierge
• Other resorts, room types and views should be available at varying prices!

I remember from 2004 that I booked our June trip after we got home from our Disney Spring Break trip on April 3rd. I must have booked it in mid April and I really had a great selection to choose from at far as the Resorts go. We booked 2 one week stays with no problem. I wonder how long the codes had been out? I just got lucky because up until summer of 2004 I didn't know there were codes. Also, I have noticed that Expedia usually reflects the codes WDW is offering if you know the right dates. We booked our stay at the Contemoprary this last Christmas through Expedia at a better rate then Disney was offering with the code. The discount ended on Dec. 25th, 2004. If you put Dec. 26th in the search engine on Expedia it did not have a great rate but if you put in Dec 25th it was fantastic just like the code discount. I check rates on Expedia everyday. Have booked through them twice even when WDW is offering general public dicount rates and Annual Passholder rates.
COme on codes!! I want to know what exciting resort we will be staying in June!!

I feel the same way. Mind you I haven't spent a lot ($119 for AKL), like others do. We went to POR the first time, then did the last two nights at AKL, as I HAD to stay there. The last two times there that is where we have stayed. We felt we couldn't stay anywhere else, we loved it so much. But, we did All Star Movies last month and really really liked it. The room was fine for us and the theming is fun! We will do a value over a moderate anyday. Not saying we won't go back to AKL of course, but the values are great IMO! I will NEVER pay for any of the other Deluxe resorts!

Of course we might all be Disney Visa holders here, so if they come out with them this year, we will all be in good shape. But for those that aren't, they will most likely be waiting until early March. The Historical Trends chart has good odds for that late a date....but of course anything is possible! I too am waiting for them, but really need the AP rates.

I'm staying at a moderate CBR for the first time. I have only done deluxe but after your comment I"m a little nervous. Is CBR spread out that much? I have looked at the map and read that it is a short walk to everythin within the resort. I would have thought a value would be worse. What am I missing?

We stayed at CBr last May. It really depends where your room is. We were in South Trinidad and it was not a short walk at all. My dd's (3&5) did not enjoy the resort at all. After walking all day I couldn't expect them to walk some more. For example there is an internal bus for CBR to take you to other parts of the resort. They don't have internal buses at All Stars. When we were at ASmovies our room was very convienent to food, main pool and buses. The room was a little smaller but we were not in it enough for it to be a problem. Our choice on a deluxe is closer to the MK(fav park). I don't mean to scare you we are just the type of family that perfers things closer and not as much grounds inbetween. My dd's are still asking why we can't go back to that 1st resort(AS Mov). :wave2: princess: princess:

In our last Disney Visa statement they had a 'deal' for a 2 bedroom at the Disney Hilton Head resort. I called the next day and they didn't have any available for the dates I wanted (even though I had just gotten the ad 24 hours earlier).

So that ended up not being such a great deal after all.

I called today to see how much it would be to bump our MYW package stay from POP to WL, it was over 900 dollars, OUCH! (for a six night stay). For us, we are on a tight budget that is way too much. I told the CM, "I'll just keep it at POP and hope codes come out soon", hoping he would say something, but he didn't, he was very nice too, but gave no indication of codes coming out shortly. And with all the pin/email/postcards they have sent out you would think the release of codes to the AP holders would be soon to follow.
Or a general public code would do. I just need a sign that they are coming...after getting the heat/electric bill yesterday I need something to cheer me up.

I am thinking positive, I will get a discount, I will get a discount, I will get a discount, I will get a discount, I will get a discount, I will get a discount, I will get a discount, I will get a discount. :wizard:

I am so positive that I now need your help in deciding between AK or WL? I currently have a reservation at CSR at the rack rate of $149.00 per night for 9 nights. Really would like to pay no more then $104.00 per night and I would be willing to change resorts to POR or POFQ, Really would have to think long and hard about CBR but would jump on it if I got a rate of $94.00 per night. I just would really like to be prepared in case I am given the option of a discount room at AK or WL for less then or equal to what I have already booked at CSR. I really don’t find the rooms in either that appealing; they look dark and somewhat drab to me. I would book a standard view so the animals will not be a factor. I originally thought that I would prefer the WL because of the location, boat ride to MK right? If the discounted rate difference is only $19.00 between a moderate and those two I think it would be a no brainer. I think I have heard that you can occasionally get those two for $123.00, if so and the moderate is only $94.00 my decision gets a little harder. I know it is only $29.00 a night more but I don’t know if the $261.00 will be worth it. :confused3

I would welcome any opinions on the subject so that I am better able to make a decision. Since I know we will all get a discount I would like to be prepared with an immediate answer if given the choices listed above.

Well, hello all my fellow Disney Friends who are waiting for the AP rates for Late April and beyond. I personally are waiting for MAY, as I and the rest of my family are heading up in May. From May 13 through the 21. We are planning a Grand Gathering. We are all living in Florida, so we only have to drive up to Walt's Magic Place. I have 4 rooms booked at the Wilderness Lodge. Its my favorite, as a history student of early America and Native American history. So, I like everyone else am waiting for those discounted rates. I have been saving each week for a year to cover the rack rate, and figured if the discount comes in I should have nearly a 1,000 to use as Disney FUN Money. I have my Seasonal Passes aready, and I only have to wait for my 90s out so I can order my Grand Gathering Events, as well as, priority seating dining. I just can't Wait. As I am sure everyone else here is.

Based on last year, I believe that with the Available to the Public - Room Only Code - the standard rooms at Mods were $94 and the Water/King/Preferred type rooms were $104. I *think* AKL/WL were probably more like $150? I remember it was quite a difference. For some comparison - currently the email/postcard rates I've gotten for May look like this:
Mod Standard $79
Mod King/Water/Preferred: $95
WL Standard: $124
WL Woods: $137
WL Courtyard: $156.

So it would seem - add about $15-20 to each of those, and that'd be about what they may be with a Public code???

ITA! Having stayed at both levels, we will never pay the extra for a moderate again over a value. I just don't see the reason to. They are way too spread out. Good mind set, wish I had it. I don't care for the value resorts at all. It just appears to be so congested and closed in. I know the rooms are not that much bigger, maybe it's the lack of tranquility at the value resort that the décor and theming that the moderate provide. I need that restful ambiance, especially at POFQ after a long day in the park.

Have to agree with you. Wanted to try out a new place that's why we have reservations at CSR. Loved the BWV 2 bedroom the year we were able to get 40% off a value season rate split between my parent and us. The values are really noisy too. They probably are not any more noisy then the moderate but because my sences are overloaded it appears to be. My husband gave a fast thumbs down to the value resorts when I showed him the pictures of the resorts and their rooms, even Pop, which is the only one that I would consider.

I'm another who only needs a bed and a shower...so values are great for us!! We spend so much time at the parks and such, we are only at the room to sleep (maybe catch a quick swim before bed). I think if you spend a week or more at Disney and are doing the "relaxing" thing, you will spend more time in your room/at resort, therefore, the mods are more your speed. To each his own!! :rolleyes1 While keeping tabs on this thread, reading thru the posts, am I to understand certain resorts have waterbeds???? We were pleasantly surprised that we had no issues with it and now know that if going to Disney sooner and more often means staying value...we are all for it. Really didn't think we would be.

Why do you not stay at both
that is what we are thinking of doing if we get a good discount mod POR half the stay and the AK/ WL second half

My husband would kill me if we moved resorts. Once we get set up, fridge stocked, cooler stocked, hamper for dirty laundry in place he doesn't want to mess with packing it all up. I wouldn't mind it though and the next trip when it is the daughter and I we will probably do that.

I think that I have decided on sticking with a moderate, you have the coffee pot and fridge now in the room at no additional charge, they don't have that at AK or WL yet do that?

We felt this way too and thought we couldn't stay anywhere else but AKL. With our short weekend trip last month, we stayed value since it was a value kinda weekend. We were pleasantly surprised that we had no issues with it and now know that if going to Disney sooner and more often means staying value...we are all for it. Really didn't think we would be. Same with cruising, we HAVE to have a balcony cabin, never stayed inside, don't think we could. But maybe we can!

I'll have to keep that in mind! Maybe one day. We are going to try WL this trip. Our honeymoon was my DH's first cruise. Not only did we have a balcony, we essentially had a mini-suite (Cat 9A on Carnival). We've been thinking about a cruise and trying to afford it by thinking about an inside cabin! I think I could do it because it'd be worth it just to be on a cruise!

Hi, I'm not an ap but I was woundering if you could get the ap discount at the same time as signing up for the AP. I would us the general public discount codes if they come out but it sounds like the Ap's get first pick,if so I will sign up to get the great discount. I think it's worth it. thanks

You do not need to purchase the AP to reserve a room with an AP code.

You do need to have the Annual Pass or at least the Annual Pass voucher to check into the hotel. The front desk will usually require that you show at least the voucher or maybe the activated annual pass at check-in.

If you do not produce the voucher or annual pass, you will be charged rack rate for the room.

To add to this....last year, I booked at the AAA rate at Pop Century. I was able to lock in $85 per night in late May....(basically 15% off the regular $99 rack rate).

I WAS NOT a member of AAA when I called for the reservation. I was planning on signing up with AAA for the $50 membership fee if no other codes were released.

Well....Disney Visa released a code for $69 per night at the Value Resorts. I was able to switch my reservation to that code....so, I no longer needed to join AAA.

The AP rate for a value resort was also released at $59 per night. It would have cost me $150 more to upgrade to an annual pass. The savings would have been $10 per night over 7 nights ($69 Disney Visa Rate vs $59 Annual Pass Rate)....$70.

It was definitely not worth paying $150 to save $70....(duh!)....so, we stayed with the $69 room rate.

So....you do not need to have an AP or a AAA membership when you make the reservation....but, you are required to show your AP, voucher, or AAA membership card upon check-in to keep your low rate.

I called and book our 12 days!! He said the codes will not be out till March. Thats what I remember from last year. I remember it being real close to Easter.

Last year it was early March. We were going to go last year - and I did some research and found that it was early March that the codes came out.

We ended up not going... I've planned... even started paying on trips at least 5 times now and EVERY time something has happened... :guilty:

SO - this year we have a week off site at my SIL timeshare... so it's looking pretty positive - tho' I must say if codes come out... AND we have the money there's a SLIM chance I'll finally get to stay onsite.. laugh...

Here's waiting for March! :cheer2:

Depends on your Dining and if you will be back again within a year. With 10% off at most places, you could easily save that extra $80 in food alone.

This year AP holders are also entitled to join DDE which saves you 20% at all meals at most sit down places and the food courts at the value resorts. Yes it costs $50/year to join using the AP discount but we saved that and more on this past trip. AP's are a good value if you plan to go more than once a year.

It is soooo good to hear all the positive responses about Value hotels.... I was actually kinda scared..... I am surpriseing DD10 with a trip 3/21-3/24 I decided this kinda last minute.... We just got back in December and wanted to be able to use my AP at least one more time before they expire in this December. Since it was last minute I was lucky enough to snag 3 nights at All Star Sports. We have stayed at POR twice CBR once and AKL twice so this will be a whole new experience for us.... Considering we are hardly ever in the room I figured why spend extra if I didn't have to.
I am still on the look out for May rates though cause who knows a weekend trip just might happen. :goodvibes

I think this has been the worst winter I've seen in years. We are about an hour north of Indy and have already suffered two ice storms and several "snow days". My husband received a postcard last night. It was really just an ad for the MYW package but I was hoping... So I called... No AP. Nothing. She did pull up my info in the beginning, so I assume if there was any discount attached to my name it would have shown up, right?? Also, the postcard was in my husband's name, not mine (different last names) would this have made a difference??

I really want to stay at the poly. But not at rack rates!!

Every year I swear I am not going to work myself up over these codes, and every year I do! We are doing spring break in less than a month, and I got a fairly good rate at Carribean Beach for that trip ($114 a night). But I am going back in July to a DVC room and want to add on three nights. Hoping for Wilderness Lodge or AKL -- but if there's no codes, back to the Moderates I go. I am watching for June codes as a sign of hope that JULY codes will come! :confused3

Howdy Colleen! Glad to see that you are day dreaming of another Disney vacation as well. My little guy will be here in a bit and we plan to watch the Disney Planning DVD together. He is to pick out his favorite attractions. I believe I might be in a bit of a jam as he has already asked about what happens if he likes them all. Told him he would not have time to see them in all in the days he and his family will be there but he has decided that since grandma stays for a 'month' he will just hang out with us until we get home. LOL Always did say the kid was one smart cookie.

twinscandc, the next time that Colleen and I get together you will have to join us. I live just outside Columbus, "Hope fully" you have heard of it. LOL

TigrLvsPooh, the Hills of Brown generally shelter us. The December storm was quite unusual and has, so far, been the only real snow we have had. Would have been better if it had been scattered out a bit over time but we dealt with it. Lots of rain here but since we were not affected by any flooding it was alright. Have had too many household renovations to work on to mind being housebound too much.

Hello to all you other fellow Hoosiers. We ought to have a get together sometime. I went to one in Indpls a few years back and met Dan Murphy, Nativetxn and a few others. I say we plan a DW meet. - and SOON!!

Once I had him call using our existing reservation for May and I wanted the cm to look and see if a code was attched to his name (I signed him up for the planning video a couple of weeks ago) and she would not do it. I then had him call back and act like he wanted to book a room in his name(all past ressies have been in my name), She gave him rack rates and when he asked about codes she told him to call back next week. She also asked for his info (including email address) and told him to check his email b/c they have been sending discounts out to AP holders according to when they bought their passes?!?!? I give up..hopefully from what she told me and what others have been told the waiting game will be over next week!

If there aren't any rooms available, a code cannot be applied to an existing reservation. A room has to be available in order for a code to be "applied". That is why so many of us are saying only book what you would be willing to pay, otherwise Disney will have no reason to discount any rooms if they are all booked at rack rate.

Mar915, you can apply a code to a perferred room if they are offering a code for that room. For instance you are staying at CBR. They might offer codes for bothe perferred or standard rooms or just one or the other. It is up to Disney to determine what room type and which resorts to open to the codes. That is why you should make a list of where you would like to stay. That way when you call you can ask about other resorts as well. Who knows you might end up in a deluxe for a very close rate to a moderate. I hope I explained it okay for you.

OK, I just got chicken about waiting so I reserved a room at Pop Century for June 17th and they did still have the AAA rate left (with tax it will be a little less than $100). If the codes come out, we will move up to the CBR, but at least I know I have a room when I arrive.

Now I feel better. :)

I'm hoping even though some rooms are filling up, maybe its the lower end like values & mods, and maybe they'll offer codes to encourage people to upgrade and free up more of the lower end rooms. I don't know, just hoping for something!!! We weren't even able to secure AAA rooms so I'm not real happy paying $110 per night for POP! We have two rooms (two families) for 8 nights so that's quite a chunk of money!

Did you try for AAA rates at the other Value Resorts? My cost (with the AAA) for June 17th at Pop Centuray is $84 plus tax (total $94). It would probably be the same at the All Stars if they have the AAA rate available. It might be worth a try.

" When I called last night, the CM told me there were no codes or anything attached to names past 4/16 dates."

My co-worker got postcard for mid-april thru July. Sweet thing's never been to Disney and has no knowledge of all things Mouse so she brought me the postcard. She thought I could use it! How I wish!!

What I would like to know is if you call & ask if there is any code for your name and there is.....why are you not actually getting the e-mail or the postcard? Are you supposed to figure it out by mental telepathy? Why put a code to someone's name and not let them know. It doesn't make sense.

The only thing I can see is that Disney would maybe have a wrong/old address or e-mail address.

If Disney would put a code attached to your name, but have your e-mail address wrong in their system....you would never receive the e-mail.

Another reason would be if you have some sort of spam filter. My local ISP uses Postini to filter spam on our accounts. If I don't go check my "spam" box, I'll never see an e-mail that Postini might think is spam....when it really isn't.

I just noticed that I received an e-mail back in September 2004 with a PIN attached to it. I just called WDW to see if I might have another PIN on my name, but no luck. My pin expired back in November 2004.

The CM was nice enough to check everyone in my party to see if any of them had a PIN. Again, no luck.

Looks like we will be booking at AAA rate. She said that ASMo is booked at AAA rate...but, PC and ASMu is available.....

We are planning a May 16th - 20th trip! I have not booked a room yet, but we are flexible as to where we stay....just as long as it is a Disney Resort. We are waiting for AP or FL resident discounts and then we will decide where to stay. Here's hoping for a little pixie dust for us all!

I wonder if this is the longest code watch thread we've ever had here on the Resort Board??? :) I think it's great everyone can post here for support and info... even though we are already booked for 4/30-5/7 I keep popping in here just to see how things are going. ;) Best of luck to everyone!!! :sunny:

I would call and check with CRO about your code -sometimes you can book more than one room with your code. Would to be same dates etc.

If that code does not allow more than one room, if he has AAA they could check out their prices.

Good luck!

Hold on a few more weeks. Many seem to think that codes could come out by the first week of March. I am hoping that is true because I would love to move from the Pop Century to the CBR.

If codes don't come out, have you tried AAA rates (that is what I used at PC and it helped a little). Also, you could try CSR. That isn't too far from AK. Or you could have them try one of the value resorts and then just meet up each day.

I hope it works out for you. AKL is a beautiful resort. I hope we get to stay there again one day.

Well, every time I've made a ressie they always tell me what they have for my e-mail & I always get the snail mail from them. I have gotten other e-mail from Disney but not postcard e-mail. PLus I got a survey postcard to my home so they have the right addy. GRRR!!!

Oh well! Just gotta hope for the AP codes. Probably will stay at POFQ with AAA but was hoping for WL.

Just to let you guys know that I sympathize with your quandry! I myself am a recovering code watcher, but since I purchased DVC I don't need them. I have not read the entire thread, so forgive me if the following has been mentioned:

The biggest tip I can give you is for someone (not everyone) to call after 8:30 PM EST everynight until codes are released. On three occasions I was able to get the code before they were officially released the next day. I believe the system is updated and some (not all) computers will show the codes. It is important though that you get a savvy CM who will take the time to look! I think some are so tired of people calling that they automatically say they are not released.

Good luck to everyone, I kinda miss this exitement!

The day before room only codes are released I always receive an email from Disney for Annual passholders giving them advance notice of AP codes and the privlege to book 1 day earlier than the release day of room only codes. So far no email from Disney. The email arrives in my inbox at 6:59 am on the dot and has for the last three release dates!

I'll post as soon as I receive and email from Disney.

I get an email right before AP discounts are released and have received one the last 2 or 3 times. As of right now, I have no email from Disney yet. We've had PAPs since '98 and they've just started sending me emails last year.

I have an AP and I do not get emails. Is it because of when the voucher was/is turned in to activate the AP? I guess you have to Activate it before you can get emails or the news letter right? When I bought it the CM told me I would get a news letter in Feb. and would get updates by email. I have not seen anything yet. I bought it In December and have not activated it yet because our trip is not till June.

None here as well. Do you have an AOL email address too? I keep signing up for all the Disney, ESPN, Family Fun etc. newsletters too and never get them. I check my spam folder and nothing in there either. :(

We have zoomtown as our internet service provider. It is a local ISP here in Cincinnati. I've always gotten the AP codes a day early through Disney.
