I would not do this, because Connections has been having trouble with double and triple-charging orders on occasion. If this was a credit card, you could avoid paying the overcharges while you contested it, but with a debit card any overcharges would be instantly taken from your account.

In general it's a horrible idea to use a debit card online -- if the number is stolen by a hacker you don't have much recourse (whereas with a credit card you're limited to a loss of $50 maximum) and the worst part is that your checking account could be emptied out.

I use my debit card on line all the time.

Guess I will stop...yikes!!

As far as I know ... as long as you report the theft ... they have the same policies as CC's/ $50 limit to liability.

I will have to check this out and keep a close eye on my acct to make sure connections does not overcharge me.
