National rates just went DOWN for June!

I just checked www.nationalcar.com and my rate went down (10:15pm CST, Friday 2/11/05)!

The particulars:

Pickup 11am, June 14
Drop Off 11am, June 22
8 total days
Emerald Aisle, Intermediate Car

Coupon ID 10009123 ($20 off, entertainment book coupon)
Priceless contract ID 6600330

Total cost including all taxes = $138.99

Check your ressies if you have them for that time frame!

I do not have Emerald Aisle, but I was able to get a quote for a standard car for my trip in June for $199.91 using the priceless code and the entertainment 2 car class upgrade coupon 1009121 (compact to standard) and $214.91 for a full size (intermediate to full). This is for a 10 day rental from 6/25-7/4 - not bad!

Using the $20.00 weekly rental coupon and the priceless code the intermediate car rate was $200.00. So, it may pay to look around with the entertainment coupon codes.

All of my rates went down. I'm Executive Aisle, so pay intermediate price, but guaranteed full size. Here's what I have:

April 29-May14 (16 days) was $323, dropped to $299 (total)

Sep. 15-23 (9 days) was $197, dropped to $173 (total)

Oct. 26-Nov. 6 (12 days) was $278, dropped to $245 (total)

I also used the vacation code 6600330 plus $20 coupon from entertainment. Thank you to the OP. I've been checking every day in hopes of the rates dropping, glad to see them move. Hopefully they'll continue to drop more.

Numerous people have reported saving a lot with Contract ID 6600330, which comes from a travel agency called Priceless Vacations. Apparently the savings come from not being charged a substantial Concession Fee. How this works I have no idea, but in the past six months or more there have been no reports of problems.

I had an intermediate reserved for 4/20-4/25 using the AmEx code. I just checked the National website and was able to drop the price by $15 by using the Priceless code. Two days ago, Priceless was giving a higher rate. I so glad that I went back and checked. For the price of a towncar service, I'll have the use of a car for the entire long weekend!

Yes, we are flying in to MCO. I am amazed as this price is over $40 cheaper than my rate I had last August for only 7 days, and this rental is 8 days... gotta love it....

The $20.00 coupon from B.J.'s is also for a weekly rental. However there is a code for "one free weekend day (10009454)."

Thanks, Yardbird !!! That brings a 4 day EA rental down to $102.80 for June 10-13. Got to run downstairs - pretty sure I still have my latest BJs flyer sitting in the mail bin! I was debating on going with FL Tours p/up or renting - as long as I can rent cheaper, I'll go with that - gives us a little more flexibility!

Checked my rates for Aug. They went down again. About $25. I hope they keep going down. I am at $150 for an 8 day rental at EA. Can I expect them to go down any more? I used priceless and ET codes.
