hi all
last year my family of 5 were able to go to disney on amtrak- taking advantage of the railsale $20 each way- so we went for $200 :) rt for all of us.
has anyone seen these prices offered again - we'd love to go again
does anyone know the history of when ??????? how often these sales are offered

I'm from NJ....where did board the train? Did you drive to Lorton, VA and take the auto train? Or did you take the train the whole way. Just curious of your route. Our kids live in VA and we take the train from Metropark to DC all the time. I've NEVER seen Amtrak passage anywhere near that low! Wow, that's a great deal!

we caught the train in newark and we were able to get the 20 sale when we went in feb 2004.
i haven't kept up with the amtrak sales lately so i wasn't sure weather we had missed any great deals lately

I look every few weeks but I have seen it come up. The autotrain also used to come up once and awhile but no such luck recently.
njcarita,
I am thinking about going to the Newark to Orlando route. Did you have a good experience? Any tips?

if money wasn't a factor - it would be my perferred method of travel to disney instead of driving. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
we went coach since it was on sale-
my kids at that time were 2, 6 ,and 8-
it was fun and stress free-
we had breakfast in the dinning car -
we had snacks and played board games and cards in the snack car-
time really flew buy in comparison to driving down
the only thing i suggest is bring a blanket- it can get really cold at night :cold: and brind some of your own food and snacks.
