Just wondering if anyone has done this and if so what you have purchased? Have you found good deals?
I am just getting into scrapping and thought it may be a good way to start my collection. I was thinking about buying fibers and maybe some eyelets and brads...
Give me your thoughts! Thanks

I look at scrap stuff on ebay, but don't buy much. Once in awhile if I find something unusual or something discontinued, but I don't see much that is THAT much different price wise (especially newer products) so I stick to shopping at on-line scrap stores mostly. Alot of them run sales and specials and I've gotten some pretty good deals. My favorites are www.gonescrappin.com , www.luv2scrapbook.com , and www.stickersgalore.com -- it's easier to look at on-line sites too, rather than searching on ebay IMHO.

I have purchases 2 sets of alphabets for sizzix on ebay. Since they are big ticket items I has able to save over 1/2 what they cost in stores.
I agree with WaltD- use the websites for good deals on brads and fibers.
Although if I found a really good deal on ebay I would not hesitate to buy. I hope I didn't confuse you even more :earboy2:

It also depends on how long you want to wait and how many times you want to try on e-bay
I spent a lot of time trying to get sizzlets and alphabars for two weeks daily - if my bid was the HIGH bid and it was too low they cancelled the auction alltogether :confused3
I did finally win the ALPHABARS for $39 ( including shipping - definately be careful and WATCH THE SHIPPING!) and they normally go for $99
For the most part I just l just look for sales online and lurk at other boards for sale postings!
try
www.rockymountainhobbies.com for free shipping
www.creativexpress.com 4.95 shipping
www.sizzix.com on tuesdays for their specials

Thanks for your input.. I will check out some of those websites.. I usually stay away from buying on-line because I like to see stuff in person, plus I am too cheap to pay shipping. But, I guess I would pay shipping on Ebay too, huh?

I have bought a few things. I got an alphabet for $40 (retails here for $245 and a creating keepsakes combo software pack for $20 (retails here for $65). I have also bought some MM ribbons and charms and frames that were not available here yet. They were only a LITTLE less than I would have paid here but I was willing to pay because they were not available. I also get a Zig marker set (8) for $9 and they retail here for $35.
