OH MY! I swore I was over my love of paper. That I had enough and wouldn't purchase anymore! Well.....today I went to my LSS for her big sale.(she is closing) I was doing really good. I just had solid card stock in my basket. Just like I planned (card stock is a necessity). Then panic set in....her doors were going to close for ever.....never again would I find paper like this.......I could hear it calling me I found I had to touch it.....hold it and then :earseek: it was in my basket.....I had to have more. Honest to goodness I think I had heart palpatations! at the thought of not having all this paper! :rotfl: So now I have lots of new paper! It is so pretty! I dont' care if I never use it :cloud9: It just feels good to know I do! :earboy2: Sick aren't I?!??!?

I have it too! Did you know how highly contagious this virus is??? You don't even have to be in physical contact with a carrier. You can even catch it via cyber-contact! :earseek:

BTW - I keep meaning to ask you....what county is this store in? In in PA also - upper Montgomery Co. I was thinking "field trip" when I realized that I'm making my last car payment this month & it isn't even a full one...I should have a few bucks to spend! ;)

I totally could feel your panic in not being able to get the paper, so buying it just in case. LOL!!

I started buying things in 3s (since I have 3 boys). Well, my GF was only buying as she goes along and because of that, when we went last week, they were sold out of both transparencies and the papers she wanted.

Totally justifies my (I mean our) hoarding, dontcha think? ;)

Oh the sold out, pattern has been eliminated, etc argument TOTALLY justifies the purchasing of paper, stickers, embellishments, etc.

Personally I do this all the time...and it is an addiction? Gosh that makes it sound like a bad thing! :rotfl: I must admit to going overboard (maybe) in this respect only once  ...just before Christmas I stopped in to my LSS to pick up a particular border sticker I love to use on theater layouts. SandyLion of the back of people in theater seats. I couldn't find it on the usual displays! So I asked one of the owners about it and she told me they were discontinuing that sticker but there were "some" left on the sale table. Well "some" turned out to be nearly an entire roll! And I bought every last one they had!

Now they were 50% off AND when I do a theater layout it is MANY pages, not all of the show itself, but that one had a good 10 pages of show shots. Plus the girlfriend I scrap with most often has a daughter in theater too...so we'll use them right? :cloud9:

I have an expanding folder FULL of scrapbook paper, and I've yet to finish my first page! As I posted once before, a local gift shop was going out of business last week. On Saturday, everything in the store was 90% off! Well, I did go a little crazy with the scrapbook paper and supplies. I bought some really nice paper with (to me) beautiful designs for about $.05 and $.07 a page. I also bought some really pretty light pink paper with some kind of fiber running through it for about $.10 a page. I don't know what that's called, but it was so "princessy" looking, I just had to have it....and bought 6 pages of it! So now I'm overflowing with paper. I just wish I was overflowing with ideas.....

I just love patterened paper. I hope there isn't a 12 step program for this because my DH would have me join. My LSS has some of the prettiest paper. I found a new LSS at few miles away and it has even prettier paper. Good think it is about 30 minutes away because I am afraid of what the damage would be.

I was like that last week when I was out at Michael's. Some of their $.59 paper was on sale for 4/$1. I was out there twice getting cardstock and each time I was like obsessing over - do I need that, no I don't think, but maybe. I was really beginning to feel like people were watching me to see if I was going bonkers or something. I was talking to myself too!!!! It actually was funny. I seem to not be able to go into a scrapbook store and not come out with some sort of paper. Even if it's just 2 sheets. And I usually buy my sheets in two's in case I want to do a double page layout, which I tend to do a lot of.

I believe the store is located in Chester County. I never really thought about. It is past Long wood Garden.
Not sure where you are coming from But do you know RT 476? If so take that to Rt 1 South stay on Rt 1 for about 30 minutes get off at Rt 41 Avondale Exit. Turn Left at the top of the ramp. Go to the Wawa and turn right. Make your first left I believe into Chelsie Stations. Her store is at the very end of the strip. Called Sadie's Sentiments. She will be open Thr and Friday and Sat 11-6. I htink it is going to be a total zoo on Thr! If you have any other questions PM!

Oh - okay! I know where you mean. I went to West Chester back when it was a State College & they had single sex dorms & curfews! I live right off Rt 476 - the NE Extension part. Hmmm.....

i HAVE IT BAD (If you didn't know that by the previously posted photos!)
I have to buy at LEAST 2 pieces of each paper too - never know how you will want to do a 2 page spread - or I can use one and save one for later!

You mean you can buy only 1 page of something at a time? :earseek: And all this time I was SURE you had to buy in multiples of 2... ;)

I know the feeling! I ALWAYS buy paper in three's! I can't tell you how many times I only bought one sheet of something and regretted it. There's nothing worse than when you need another piece and can't find it ANYWHERE!

I went to a huge LSS once that had more paper than other stuff...I mean, paper as far as the eye could see, rows and rows and rows of it...I almost hypervenilated when I walked in the door! :rotfl:

Wow... All this time I was "convinced" you had to buy in multiples of 4...

Things I learn every day ;)

Spinning, I can sympathize! I bought "some" paper last week at Michael's 5/$1 - my receipt was very long - poor lady had to ring each sheet separately. The week before we stopped by the LSS. They moved to a bigger space a few doors down at the end of last year & my husband had not yet seen it. Well, they had some paper also 5/$1. Needless to say I have more than enough paper for now!

Thank you, ladies. Sometimes I would feel guilty when I looked at all my paper - after all will I ever actually use it all? And just this week I was in Joann's after a long hiatus and noticed they have finally restocked. My first thought was "OH NO! I don't have (at least) one of everything anymore. I hope they have a $4/1.00 sale soon." I'm glad I'm not alone in this obsession!

Local Scrapbook Store - LSS

Went to the LSS about 20 minutes away today and they had the most beautiful paper by Basic Grey. It all coordinated and had punch out tags to match. I think it came in 4 different groups. I bought the pink/burgundy/yellow/orange. Very cute. I love Basic Grey.

I just saw a layout I liked on 'pea' and it was Basic Grey so I went to there website....wow,,is that beautiful.....but there was no prices...I am afraid to ask, but how much is a 12X12????

I also seem to like Daisy D's and Karen Foster - they have a nice selection on sale at Rocky Mountain Hobbies that PattyT posted about.

I have been buying in 2's and 4's as it seems I like to coordinate the 2 pages in a spread......

You guys have created a monster  !

I already shared my trip to Michaels and the amount of paper I bought. The other day I was at JoAnn's and they had some paper on sale--of course they had different ones than Michaels, so I got some more. I'm going to have to get one of those expandable paper tates that I've seen if I keep this up!

Oh honey, you might as well just give in to the madness and get a paper tote. This addiction is not cureable! :rotfl:
