Anyone have any suggestions for room type at the Beach Club. I am going in first week of May w/ my husband, 4 year old and an 8 month old infant. The baby will be napping 2 x a day - hopefully once in the stroller and once in the room. Which room type do you think would be best. We cannot afford a suite w/ seperate rooms. I was thinking perhaps one w/ a full balcony so I can sit outside while baby napping or at night while kids sleep. Is a ground floor room w/ a patio better. Water view? Is it worth the extra $$ ? Yacht club has a room available so we may consider that as well. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Kristen

Have you thought about renting points from a DVC member? You could get a room at the Beach Club Villas that would have a separate living room and bedroom.

Yes, I did consider this and even had someone willing to rent me the points> Then I found out that the week I am going is no longer available to the DVC members only to the general public. The DVC MS gave all the villas to CRO and will not take my general reservation and let me pay w/ points.

Wow, the villas must be at near capacity. From what I know, they only hold a small amount back for CRO. We have stayed in the same room with our kids during nap times and I've found that once they're asleep we were able to turn the TV on low and move around in the room. On my honeymoon we had a Jr. Suite at the BC. I have no idea how much it was a night, (FIL paid for it) but it was a living room and a bedroom. It was also a first floor room with a nice patio that was in the shade. Just be sure if you get a balcony room, that it's not one of those tiny 'standing room only' ones. Good luck!

Can you believe a Jr. Suite at the Beach Club is $575.00 a night !! So... needless to say we will not be staying in a suite. I'll just ask for a quite room w/ a full balcony and hope for the best. Thanks for all your suggestions. Kristen

You might want to ask for a woodsview room at the Beach Club. It is very quiet back there.
