My sister is arriving at 1a.m. What would be the best way for her to get to the resort? Does Mears run during the night??

Have a Tiffany Town Car Driver meet her at the baggage area and bring her directly to the resort. Fastest, nicest way to get to your resort at that hour (or any hour)

Mears does run all night and they are probably as safe as TTC. For one person TTC may be cost prohibitive! Mears will tour at that hour though. I did it once and I think I saw all of Orlando!

Thanks for the ideas. Does anyone know the cost of a cab? My sister just got laid off so she is trying to be economical about this trip.

I think a cab is about $40. By far the most economical method will be Mears especially for one person.

In the interest of saving money, I think Mears would be your best bet. We have arrived in Orlando at 1am on 2 different occasions, once we took Mears and once we took Tiffany Town Car. During the late night hours Mears only operates their lower level desk (the floor below baggage claim). We waited perhaps 20 minutes for a van, and the van stopped at 2 other Disney resorts before dropping us off at All Star Movies. We arrived at our resort around 2:15am. Tiffany was of course the faster method of transportation but also almost twice as expensive (for just 2 people). We arrived at our resort around 1:45am.
I'd also recommend Mears for one person. TTC is more economical and more convenient for a family.

Hi. In November 1999 we came in at 11:00, by the time we got luggage, got outside, etc., it was almost midnight. This is my advice to you...hitchhike! Relax, just kidding!! :)
I would take TTC. They are wonderful. I think it is safer. Since it's your sister (and not a brother), and I think that since the hour is so late, they offer more personalized service. No chance of a mixup or unncessary stops at other resorts. They will get her bags, load her up, and deposit her right at the hotel you are staying at, basically hassle free. That's what I'm doing this November. In fact, my step sister is meeting us, and is doing that very thing. She comes in later than us (although not that late) and she is taking TTC. I recommend it without hesitation.

For one person Mears is the most economical (and safe) way to go. If she is joining you and you have a rental car picking her up might be appreciated (although gas, tolls and parking may cost as much as Mears).
