Do the gift shops at the DVC resorts offer us a discount on merchandise that we buy there? I love to shop at WDW and am already fantasizing about the SSR & DVC stuff I want to get. I wish there was somewhere on-line to buy stuff.

No, there is no DVC discount at the resort shops. I sure wish there was! :)

Good point, they already know we're going to want to buy stuff, but I figured it didn't hurt to ask.

If you'll have a car, make sure you check out the off-site outlets. It's all legitimate WDW merchandise...most of it discontinued items or production overruns. But the typical discount is 50% off of the WDW price.

We have gotten very selective about the items we buy on-site anymore because we know we can get great deals at the outlets.

Don't fantasize too much, there really isn't alot of DVC merchandise available.

There are 2 outlet centers - Belz & Premium Outlets. Belz is near Universal (2 stores - one in Mall One and one in Mall Two), Premium Outlets are close to Crossroads (near the Mary Queen of the Universe Shrine).

I don't know about the rumor of more merchandise. The only DVC merchandise I have is a nice navy jacket, it was about $75.

I actually doubt it. The construction at BCV it to add a "grab n go" food place (I have heard like Roaring Forks...only no place to sit down). I actually expect to see less DVC stuff instead of more.
