Well,

It seems from the thread about people's favourite / least favourite attraction that TOT is a ride that people have strong feelings about! So I thought it would be fun to see who the majority are ;)

I will begin by saying that you would never, even in a month of Sundays, get me on this ride! I am a bit lift-phobic anyway, but to voluntarily get inside a lift that I know will free fall 13 stories?? You have got to be kidding!!

When I watched the planning video before our first trip I vowed there was no way I would do that ride and I never did!

On our second visit DH dared me and yes that was enough for me to swallow my fear ;) so on I went. Now I love TOT almost as much as him :love2:

Well, I hate it but love it, if you know what I mean. Feel sick with antisapation while I am on it, but glad I have ridden it when it's over, although to be honest I have never seen what goes on inside as I keep my eye shut the whole ride.

What a wimp Eh!

I love the Tower of Terror and the only ride that beats it is RnRc

Well I used to love it - when it first opened, but now I won't go it at all. I HATE that horrible "sinking" feeling when you drop and like Karen, I'm a bit funny about lifts as well.

I can't say I am keen on the prospect of plummeting 13 floors as I am standing in line, but that really adds to the thrill for me. TOT really gets my heart pounding and I like that :)

I am not sure I would enjoy it so much if the nice handles weren;t by the side of my seat to hold on to :) DW always tells me to let go, but I think it's just a ploy to get the life insurance ;) :rotfl:

Sorry flame away but i thought it was dull, dull, dull.

Very boring and not the least scary.

Maybe i am more of a coaster girl at heart.

It's a great ride! It's not just the ride though, the themeing(sp) around the Twilight Zone is superb!

TOT is an awesome ride. I haven't been on it for years and years though, so I haven't been on since they keep changing it. hopefully should do when we go again.

When the doors open at the top and the warm air hits you! what an experience!

Love it !!

I did take my camera on once and took a photo of the view when the doors open. Unfortunatley it was just getting dark and you can hardly see the view, plus its quite blurred :rotfl: . Everytime I look at the picture it makes me laugh.

I love it as well! My youngest was 6 when we first went on it, we kept telling him it wouldn't be scary!!!

When he got off he told us off for telling him it wasn't scary and then asked to go on again!

Love it when those doors open and you look over the park.

We love this ride! The first time we went on it, my DH nearly chickened out!(he is afraid of heights)
Now, whenever we go he's the first on it! My DD5 won't go on it yet (it too scary for her I think :earseek: ) but I did manage to convince my INLS to go on it for the first time!

I couldn't wait to ride it- that is until I was on it! I don't like the free falling feeling at all. My 8 year old loved it and when we viewed our picture my eyes were closed and I had the clenched look going on while my daughter on the other hand was grinning ear to ear. I will not ride this again but it was fun looking back. :scared: :scared1:

None of your options works for me, Karen. It was one of those rides which I was terrified to try, but desperately wanted to (as opposed to something like Dr Doom's Fearfall which I'm terrified to try and never will!). I eventually plucked up the courage and have ridden (under duress) 3 or 4 times since. I don't love it, don't hate it, don't think it's average. But I'm still terrified!

Edited to say that my daughters have each ridden well in excess of 100 times. I'm assuming they'd go for the 'love it' option ;).

I can't vote Karen! I have a love/hate relationship with this ride!! It really really scares me but I think it is SO clever!

I come off laughing - partly laughing at myself and partly hysteria.

I only ride if the conditions are right, LOL!! These are - no food in at least two hours, no sign of a headache/jetlag etc and lots of encouragement and dares from my family!!

Now RnR....... that's another story. I'd be able to vote in your poll for THAT ride :scared:

I have issues with that ride! I went on it when we went for the first time in September and was physically shaking when I came off for over 45mins. It was my first ever really big thrill ride (biggest previously was BTMR a few days before!) I was terrified (the pic coming off has me grabbing onto my partner and not even looking forwards.) But still it's easily one of my faves simply because of all the backstory and attention to detail in the queues. Don't know if I'll do it again but I'll definately queue with my friends when they go on! Partner has been on 40+ times, he LOVES it!

I love it, and to my surprise DH, who doesn't like heights and coasters, thought it was great. So it's definitely a fave of ours. The theming is brilliant and it's different every time which is great. The best bit is when you're just waiting for the drop....

Had a great time riding it with Rhys & Jessica last time (remember those cheerleaders?!) and am really looking forward to trying the California version.

We went on it last years ago, before they changed it. I loved it but was terrified. DH and I queued up again straight away we go off, and in the queue we were looking at each other saying " What on earth are we doing this to ourselves for?". I'd love to go on it again, but the queues were always too long for the kids to wait last time we went. Maybe next time.... :cool1:
