HRH Cabana Question

I think I read on these boards that a couple of the HRH cabana's are unavailable during dive-in movie night because the big screen is set up in front of them. Which cabana's are blocked and which are best for viewing the screen? Is the screen always set up in the same place? Thanks for any info. :wave:

i'm sorry I dont know the answer to your question, but you can call (407)503-2236. this is a direct number to where you reserve the cabanas and they are very helpful.

I believe it is #9 and #10. It is definitely the ones on the far side of the pool (opposite the hotel). We had cabana #1 last August (the one closest to the cafe) and we had a direct view of the screen.

Here is DH in the cabana. HE is not a sun-worshiper so that is one of the main reasons I got the cabana.

We just got back and the staff set up a huge TV screen for superbowl in front of the Cafe/bar area so we had a great view of it from cabanna 9. What a great day (even though our poor Eagles lost :confused3 )! The cabanna was stocked w/sodas and waters and a fruit basket and towels and 4 reserved lounge chairs outside of the cabanna. Having the cabanna for superbowl sunday was one of the highlights of our stay :cloud9: We ordered lunch from the Beach Club - average and a bit $$. And for dinner we just nibbled on appetizers from the club lounge and ordered some pizza and nachos from the Beach Club. It was heaven being waited on all day long and it was nice to close our cabanna curtains when it got chilly that night. BTW the pool is kept at a constant 82 degrees :sunny:

Hmm. That's interesting because that is definitely NOT where they had the screen when we watched the Friday night movie. Maybe it was something special because of the superbowl?? Or maybe they changed since last August.

Because of the superbowl the pool bar was packed w/people and I'm sure that's why the huge tv screen was set up right outside the bar that particular night. The game was shown on BOTH sides of the screen so people in the bar or around the pool or in the cabanas could all view it. Very nice idea. :wizard:

When we reserved our cabana for 6/05/05, they told me the screen will be set up on a new stage they had built, so it's in a different place now. The guy gave me #8 and said it should have a great view.

Yes, cabana 8 would have been directly across from the screen at superbowl. Maybe that's the new place for Friday night movies too? We weren't there on a Friday so I can't say. I can say they told us superbowl morning that the screen would be set up in front of the volleyball net which we thought was odd because of the sand factor and electronics. Then, late afternoon we saw the staff clear out the tables and chairs from the circular outside eating area of the bar and that's where the screen was set up. Hope that helps.
