Has anyone stayed here in the last little while? If so what was it like? I have heard different things, some good and some bad. Im hoping for the good because we are staying there in May.

We didn't stay there recently - it was back in November 2002. We like it (and I tend to be pretty picky with hotel rooms). I thought it was quite a good hotel for the price. The rooms were spacious and clean. We ate breakfast at the hotel one morning and it was good. The pool area was plain but I guess it depends on what you're looking for - if you want something heavily themed, this isn't the place for you. We have a reservation for next week which we may change only because we're looking for something a bit more romantic but other than that, I wouldn't hesitate to go back. On our last trip to WDW we stayed at AKL and I vowed never to spend that kind of money again on a hotel. Hope that helps. If we do end up staying there next week, I can give you an update afterward.

Have you checked out www.mousesavers.com? She gives the place a very good review. Also, my Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World (2005 edition)gives the hotel a very good review. :wave:

We stayed there a couple of years ago. The pool area was really nice. My kids loved it. They couldn't get enough of the slide. For the price it was a nice hotel and its close to the parks. I think the beds weren't the most comfortable but it wasn't too bad.
