Universal Mastercard Questions

I sent away for a Chase Universal Mastercard to use on our July trip to Universal. I did this because I read somewhere that we can use the card for discounts at restaurants and for merchandise. If so, then does anybody know where it can be used and how much the discount is for? We will also be staying at the Royal Pacific and I was wondering when I ask for an upgrade from a standard, will it be a suite, club, or just a standard with a better view. We have our hearts set on a park view on a high floor, should I ask for this now or a few days before we go? Any information will be helpful as we are trying to get the best deals we can since we are having to pay 234.00 a night for our room. Thanks so much!! :grouphug:

We have the Universal Card and have redeemed our points for major Best Buy gift cards!!

As for the room upgrade, you have to request that at the time you make your reservation. I booked through www.univacations.com (click on Mastercard exclusive offers), and upgraded from a pool view to a deluxe room at HRH. Also, you get the 5th night free. They seem to book up pretty fast for this discount rate, so check early!!!
