I haven't seen thread on this topic for a while. Just wondering what we have out there for license plates - Disney or not, but of course, mostly curious about Disney. And explain why if not apparent!

Mine is BIBBIDI

I wanted Fairy Godmother, but trying to put 7 characters on the plate you come up with:
FRYGMTH - eh?
FRYGMOM- eh?
FYGMTHR - eh?
FGDMTHR - everyone one at work thought this might make for road rage (think f-gd-mother)

Anyway, not coming up with one I liked, I decided on the song.

My DH has TIME 4 T (he manages a golf course)

Mine used to be WDW4ME but I got tired of explaining that to non-disneyphiles (you'd think with the mass of Disney bumper stickers, stuffed animals, window clings and license plate frames they would have figured out themselves, but Noooooooooo) so I switched to DISWORLD. That seems to have cut down on the inquiries. I wanted DSNYWRLD but it was already taken in my state. Mine is not Disney, it's BSBPRD1. And yes, it does require explaining. It's for Backstreet Boys Pride (for the "Keep the Backstreet Pride Alive" phrase). Had to do the number, or the cost for a vanity plate in my state jumps enormously. I know the group is history, but I miss my boys! :(

We have DVC WLV on our minivan and on the front of it we have the DVC Member plate, always a Mickey antenna topper of some sort and we have a Mickey flag magnet on the back. Yup...we are geeks. In Indiana we pay a huge, yearly plate tax, so I haven't wanted to add the cost for special plates... My favorite that I have seen was at OKW, on a car from New Jersey: CUATWDW. I LOVE that one, and once I hit the lottery, I am getting it! Meanwhile, I am proudle displayinga Mickey magnet and various antenna ears.

but it reads GM GIRL. My uncle, until he retired, was the head of the Chevy division of General Motors. He helped me get one of my cars, that needed some "touch up" work when it was delivered to me. I took it to my local dealership, and the service manager came up to me and said, "you must be the GM girl". A couple of months later, I had to bring the car back in, and again, the service manager recognized me and said, again, you're the GM girl, aren't you? I decided to go with it! I put the plates on my car, and one week later, met my DH, that was 19 years ago, and I'm SO superstitious, I won't get rid of them!
Yesterday, we went to see Disney on Ice, FInding Nemo, and there was a car in the lot that had "Disney 3" on their plates. If I ever feel "brave" I'm going to request DZKNEE4.

Wow! As DH posted earlier in the thread - he has WDW 4 US on his truck, along with the Mickey antenna ball, the been there, done that magnetic bumper sticker, and Goofy hanging on the antenna for dear life. Needless to say, most people figure out the WDW from the rest of the Explorer.

I just wanted to say how much better it makes me feel to hear there are so many more people out there who do this!! I was gun shy and didn't get the WDW 4 US on my car when he ordered his (He was going to get WDW 4 ME) on his truck.) I do have the Minnie Mouse antenna ball but...I wasn't ready for that vanity plate step. Now...maybe I should go with SSR DVC or something.

I tried all kinds of combinations until I finally scored with "GN2DZNE"--which is supposed to translate into "gone to Disney", but I have gotten all kinds of questions--from "going to 'de zone' to "going to doze in New England"?????But at least it gets noticed! :cool1:

My black truck, originally on Long island and now up in Rochester has all sort of disney decals(Grumpy/Goofy/Mickey/Pluto/Stitch/WDW/DVC), a been there done that going back plate holder, all sorts of stuffed disney characters on the dash, and MGK KGDM on my vanity plate--My favorite place in the whole world.

I did have EXRCIZ (exercise) on my car but didn't transfer it when I traded for an SUV. I would like Disney plates but hate to spend the extra bucks. My DD would probably disown me as she is embarrassed enough that I have a Mickey sticker on the back and a Mickey antenna ball and wanted the Mickey ball hitch. Okay...I don't have Disney on my plates...do have the "Been there, done that, going back" plate holder on my car which hold my personalized plates "I TERP 3"...which gets all kinds of HUH? looks...one person I overheard read it as "TWERP 3"...it seems only folks who are in my "biz" get it....it means I inTERPret 3(languages). TERP is what my Deaf instructor always referred to sign language interpreters...so terps and Deaf folks tend to get it first...don't know if there are any other language interpreters who refer to themselves at "terps" though...oh, and the 3 languages? English, American Sign Language, and Spanish...just don't get many requests for the Spanish in my area...did interpret once for a Mexican Deaf man who signed Mexican Sign Language at a government office...had to use a non-professional relay interpreter...friend of the Deaf man who could sign MSL and speak Spanish...it was a great experience...I only knew about 5 MSL signs, but within half an hour I was able to voice his signs without the relay...what a professional rush!

Like a couple of others DH has plates that were his dad's whose been gone 10 years...MY3117...he will not get rid of them ever!! I don't blame him.

My dad used to have my favorite of his various personalized plates on his Saturn...Nonya 1...for none of your business.

A girlfriend's husband's plates are...HNTNXS 1....hunt in excess...he hunts everything!!

I've seen a great variety around and always get a kick out of deciphering them...so keep 'em coming ya'll...

I had wanted a Disney vanity plate for years and finally in 2001 got DVCMBR. I had people ask me what it stands for...divorce what??

I was so shocked when I was my second week on a new job at a local bank when the head of my division came in yelling, "Who has the DVC car?" He was a new DVC owner and loved the plate. It wasn't too long when I saw his car in the parking lot with DVC MBRS. I asked him about it and he admitted he copied from me!

Since first getting the plate, with trading cars and such, it ended up on my husband's car. I got a new car in July and traded plates around on both cars so I have my DVCMBR plate back!
