Hi,
I'm hoping some knowledgeable folks around Pensacola can help me.
I'm driving down at the end of May and can't remember how long it takes to get from Pensacola to I-75. :confused3
I'm leaving from Slidell, LA (10 minutes from MS border on I-10) around 4:00PM and trying to determine how long it should take me to get to a hotel in Lake City.
TIA,
Darlene

I have driven from my condo at Perdido Key and the drive took about 4 1/2 hours, but about 30 minutes of that was getting to I-10 from the beach. Of course your time may vary due to traffic/construction delays.

It took us about 4 hours to get from Pensacola to I-75 one evening on an impromptu trip. It was late at night with little traffic, but we did drive through a killer thunderstorm for about an hour that slowed us down some.

About six hours from Slidell to Lake City. Plus you lose an hour, so add that hour.

Thanks, everyone. I found a great rate for a motel in Lake City and I will be able to leave on Friday instead of Sunday. Now I just need to get a room at a decent price for Saturday night. I'm hoping to get into SeaWorld for about 10:00 AM on Saturday. My 2 grandsons will just love Shamu!! Especially if they can get wet! :sunny:

Don't forget that I-10 is still damaged from when the hurricane knocked out the interstate. Traffic is going across but from what I hear it is down to one lane in each direction. So there will probably be a few delays there.

Hi,
Here is a thread that might help about the
bridge at Pensacola.
Bridge Thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=699417)
The east bound lane only has one lane open
but the west bound lane has 2 lanes open.
Good Luck

Thanks, ALostBoy
I have a friend in the Navy who just got transferred to Pensacola in December so I've been getting updates on the bridge from him.

East bound it a single lane with a few temporary bridge sections. West bound is two lanes.
