I'm thinking we'd start after the Valentine's Day challenge ends and shoot for 8 lbs from V-Day to St. Patrick's Day. I've already got a clippie in the works. If you're interested, please post!

THINK GREEN!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Green beans, green lettuce, green peas, green cabbage, green onions, turnip greens (nah, can't eat 'em but they are green!)
Any other healthy green items we can add to our diet between Valentine's and Patrick's?
I'm shooting for 10 pounds for Valentine's...I would be THRILLED to lose 8 pounds between VAlentine's and Paddy's Day....so put me down for that
Tara-8 pounds and eating more greens.

I would add green beans, green asparagus, green chocolate (hmmm...darn that doesn't exist!), green apples, green kiwis, green pears, green broccoli, green celery. Any other suggestions?

so that's 5.5/8 for this challenge! I wasn't sure I'd loose anything this week, so I was so happy to see that 1/2 lb gone!
Only 85. lbs left for me to goal! I am so psyched!!!
Well I'm officially done with the Valentine's Day challenge and lost 6.1 of the 8 pound goal. Not bad....
I'm starting the St Patrick's Day challenge tomorrow at a weight of 170.2 pounds.

I did my WI for the Lose 5 in February challenge and was so thankful that those 1.5 pounds were gone. I am now 2/8 for this challenge, that means I need to lose 6 pounds before St. Patty's Day. I was getting ready to see how many days I have to get those 6 off, but thanks to Liz, I didn't have to go figure. I have the 17 days to get 6 pounds off. I am thinking that I can do this if I really put my effort towards it. I have changed my exercise around a little. I am increasing my incline and cutting back my minutes by a few. Hopefully this will help shake my body up a little.
Keep up the great work everyone, we can do this!!!

down another 1.5 for 3/8 on this challenge. Not looking good for 3/15 (my last WI day before 3/17) -- 5 pounds in 2 weeks just doesn't happen for me, but let's see how close I can get!

I'm down another .6, so that puts me at 3.4/8

Weighed in today and down 2.2 more pounds this week for a total of 5.8 for this challenge. Yeah!!! I've met my goal of 5 pounds but will continue on this challenge and up my goal to 8. We'll see what happens. Our upcoming cruise has been great motivation for me!

YAHOO!!! With today's weigh in at 188.0 I can enthusiastically proclaim I am 5 out of 9 pounds for St. Patty's!
Oprah's boot camp is mostly to blame....my eating has stayed the same..mostly low carb but I do eat whole grain breads every other day and even had some birthday cake (3 bites) yesterday...but working out 7 hours a week has really pumped it up and the weight is coming off!!!
The only tricky part is TOM should be hitting the week before or the week of St. Patty's....So I've really got to kick it up this week and be cautious of what I eat to make it to my goal in 2 weeks....it is doable but it means I'll have to be KICKING it to achieve!
Keep up the losing!!! Focus on a great summer feeling healthy and energetic...making the most of your body by treating it well! :)

Just an added note on thinking GREEN.
For anyone that has a juice bar near them (some gyms have juice bars in them as well) Wheatgrass juice is incredibly good for you. One ounce is equivalent to eating 2 and 1/2 pounds of green veggies. I'll be the first to say...it tastes like licking a lawnmower...LOL but if you ask them to give you a chaser of orange juice to wash it down, its not so bad. Other nutritional benefits of wheatgrass are...Vitamin B, C, D and carotene, contains 20 amino acids, it contains liquid oxygen and helps with clearer thinking and acts as a natural antioxidant. In other words, this stuff is insanely good for you.
So, if you want to think green, drink green! Suck it up and try some wheatgrass juice ;)
Well todays WI went well and I lost another 1.6 pounds. So that puts me at an even 5 for this challenge. Only 3 more to go!!!

Yeah...I've heard about Colorado's winter. Much more like our normal winter. We never get this much snow along coastal Maine this consistantly. I can't remember shoveling this much ever. I wish that jet stream trough would push a bit west where it belongs! But, I bet you are enjoying that weather alot, right? I know I would be! Instead I'm freezing and shoveling. Where is my lovely month of March?????? I want to be outside biking not shoveling! :teeth:

Well, I am going to stick with the 6/8 for this challenge and be pleased with it. The scale fluctuates too much day to day and hour to hour and that number has been very consistent since Tuesday.
