I just get this news from Continental Airline's newsletter. Starting this fall, they will be starting the Airtrain. It will take about 20 min to get a ride to Penn Station in Manhattan. $10 each way.
This is a really good way to fly out. EWR is a much better airport to LGA or JFK, in my opinion.

This is great! Getting to Newark can be such a pain from NYC, but they have great rates and it is a really stress-free airport (we are flying out of LGA in September, and dreading it. I flew out of LGA for a trip this month and it was, as always, a mess.) Anyway, this is nice, and better than the pricey cab ride.
Thanks for the info.

Actually, it's much more pleasant taking the PATH train from NYC to Newark first, and then take a cab from newark to the airport. You can take the PATH from World Trade Center or from 33rd St (across from Macy). $1.50. Always reliable, and always faster than waiting for the tunnel!
Not to mention it's soooo much cheaper.
