My name is Jennifer and I have just started Atkins. I had a baby in October and was nursing. I didn't want to diet in any way until I stopped. (which happened earlier than I had hoped) I am really struggling with what things to eat. Plus I have a huge sweet tooth (which might account for my huge backside :rolleyes1 ) I guess I just decided to join you guys over here for some motivation. I'm usually over at the CB board, but thought I could get the support I need from people who are dieting too. So :wave2: I hope to stop by often.

Hi, Jennifer! This is the right place to be! All you need to do is reach out, and you'll find all the support, info, help, and encouragement you need to help you make the changes you want to make! We're glad to see you!

Good for you for getting yourself on track so soon after your baby was born!

Atkins is a super program for curing yourself of a sweet tooth -- I was a world-class chocoholic, which pretty much accounts for my being here at WISH, but after a short time on Atkins, I couldn't even think about candy and milk chocolate without going 'Bleah.' Enjoy all the fabulous, delicious food that Atkins allows, and don't forget to take all your starting measurements -- it's unbelievably motivating when the numbers on the scale and tape measure start melting downwards!

Hey Jennifer!
Just wanted to wish you luck! I am a new mum trying to do Atkins too! Only I waited two years after DD was born - good for you! Some babies have strong wills from day one and will do what they want. My DD wouldn't take any bottle (tried them all!) and at 8 months she switched to a sippy cup and that was the end of that!

You'll be great - best wishes!

Hey Jennifer!!!

Welcome and you can do this!!! Glad you gave yourself some off time while nursing...I think it's best to eat a little of everything while you're nursing. Congrats on your baby!!! Just love 'em! :)

You might want to make your own WISH journal..that has helped me alot..whenever I feel a craving I'll go post and read all my old posts and see how disciplined I've been and that keeps me from blowing it until I reach goal....lots of great support here...in no time you'll be feeling healthier and fit! :)

Hey Jennifer

Welcome to Wish! I've been here for about 2 weeks. Anyways I have been doing Atkins for about 3 weeks and have already lost 14 lbs. Don't get discouraged too much, the first 3 or 4 days are the hardest but you'll get past and reach your goal in no time!

Good Luck
