OK, I'm trying so hard, but I craved salty, crunchy foods, and . . . chocolate, all the time. I feel like I'll never be able to give up carbs and follow a diet like South Beach. I did make Lifetime on WW about six years ago, but I'm now way over the 2 lb. allowance they give you and haven't gone back to WW in a about a year. I know you can have some salty things on WW like pretzles and crackers if you count your points, but I really wanted to try to cut out the carbs and try South Beach. Any suggestions?

Believe it or not, to me celery cures that salt and crunch thing. Does anybody else find celery to be salty? Anyway, if you want something a little more that just plain celery and want to stay lc...add a little peantbutter or cheese....I prefer cream cheese or laughing cow cheese wedges. They come in low fat or not and both are great!!!
Hope that helps!! I love a good crunchy piece of celery.....especially stuffed with cheese!!

Oh, another salty crunchy thing that SO loves.....take parmaeasan cheese....the powdered stuff....but stick to a brand name like Kraft......preheat your oven to 350....put about a tablespoon of cheese on a piece of parchment paper covered cookie sheet and spread out in a circle shape. Make however many you want. Pop them in the oven for about 7-8 minutes until they start to get nice and lightly brown. Take off cookie sheet cool. These "cookies" stay good for several days in a tupperware container. I am not a big fan of them, but SO loves them. They have some salt and some crunch too!! He can eat them plain, like a cookie....I need to eat them with like chicken salad or something.....but that does work. Also another big fave of the SO....Pork Rinds. Not a favorite here....but definatlely crunchy....and the flavored ones can be quite salty..Just make sure that that flavored ones don't have carbs.

SUNFLOWER SEEDS!
1/4 of a cup has 5 carbs! Not too too bad! I have become addicted now that I am not smoking! I know, it has alot of salt, perhaps you can find them with out salt or little salt.Plus.......
it kind makes you mouth tired ( of all the work you need to do to get the seed out) that I find it curbs my appetite!
as far as your chocolate craving I like hershey LC one gram sugar chocolate bars or, Kemps LC ice cream. Both can be found at sams club.
good luck
