POR proximity to the parks question

My Unofficial Guide to WDW lists POR as being 12 minutes away from MGM, 16 minutes away from Animal Kingdom, 8 minutes from Epcot, and 12 minutes from Magic Kingdom. (These times are provided you are using your own car). When we stayed at Coronado Springs it seemed we were very close to all the parks. Is POR really that much further out?

It'a actually closer to everything except the AK.

But 12 minutes to the MK using your own car? nope. Maybe to the MK parking lot, but not through the gates. Plan on another 20 minutes to get through the gates from the time you get to the parking lot, possibly even longer.

IMHO the fastest way to get around WDW (in almost all circumstances) is by bus/monorail.
