Ok, I leave for my honeymoon to Orlando in 13 months ~ I am getting married in 13 months, AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! I have enough points on quite a few programs to cash out, but are the GC's going to be worth it if I do? What are the average expiry dates on them, and should I wait maybe until January to cash out???

In my experience, most of the gc expire one year after we redeem. Gas cards can exp. anywhere from 10 months (bp) to 2 years (shell).

So, you will be needing your gc in August 2002, right? I would not cash out for any until at least September of this year just to be safe.

Oh, webcerts don't expire, so if you are going to use any of those, you can go ahead and cash out for those.

State laws may affect them too. Here in Mass, gift certificates can't expire in less than 2 years. I don't know about Florida though.

You could also redeem for stuff you'd use before your wedding & then transfer the money you would have spent into Disney dollars or into a savings account.

It depends on the gc's. Can you cash out for webcerts at some of those programs?

But, Web certificates won't issue me a card because I am Canadian. Would any wonderful US citizen out there like to volunteer their address for me so that I could get a webbie?? email me at jmfehr@home.com if you would. Otherwise, I'll have to get GC's.

ChisJo you can open a webcert account by phoning them up...there system doesn't accept canadian adresses online but if you call their customer service they will manually set it up for you. I haven't ordered my plastic card yet but they never told me that I couldn't get one when I set up my account. I am sure that I have read of other canadians having the plastic card as well.

I am Canadian and I just ordered a webcert card. The guy on the phone already knew my canadian address from when I registered and said I would get the card in a week to 10 days. There was no problem at all.
