View Full Version : Junior Ready Beds - to use at resorts with only 2 beds ?

Junior Ready Beds seem like a great idea (from another post) to a younger child to use - and not sleep with an older sibling.

The Deluxes are a bit out of our range. (We can get the Dolphon for $169 with AAA rate though). So - with 2 beds - I think we should bring a ready bed and then ditch it when we are done. It seems less expensive than a cot.
From www.readybed.com:
An inflatable sleeping bag that offers comfort, convenience and is easy to carry and store away. Perfect for sleepovers, staying with relatives, using on holiday or having guests to stay.

But how long/big is the Junior Ready Bed. Up to what height can a child use it till ?

The ToysRUs website has a perfect one for my DD
Disney Princess Ready Bed - Inflatable Sleeping Bag with Carrying Case and Pump. Their price is: $29.99. Even with $10 tax& shipping - total cost = $40.
We are planning 13 nights at WDW. It would come out to $3.00 per day. We could place it in a suitcase, use the Ready Bed, ditch it when we go home and use empty suitcase for soveniers.

I want to make sure my DD would fit into it.
She is 11 - but on the short side - about 4 1/2 feet.

Our Aero Bed was $100 and I would not want to ditch it at WDW.

Thanks for any help in our decision.

I haven't tried one yet but your post has me interested. Last trip I rented a toddler bed from ABBF but this would be cheaper. They are 60" so that sounds big enough for you DD and they seem to have a 150 pound weigh limit.

They also have a Disney princess one at Target.com that can be used as a chair by day.

:flower1: This Princess ready bed would be great for our 6-year-old. We are a family of 5 and have stayed at POR, but that trundle bed has very thin mattress and isn't very comfortable. This would make that more appealing! Cost makes it easy to leave after an 8-10 day stay!

Thanks!!! :D

I want to make sure my DD would fit into it.
She is 11 - but on the short side - about 4 1/2 feet. I don't think it would work. We have two of them, but my kids are 6 and 3, and the 6YO is just starting to get a little big for it, and she's 8 inches shorter than your DD. I really think the height limit for those to work are 48", since DD is 46" and getting too big for it. They are not regular sized sleeping bags, they are toddler sized.

Thank you for the target web-site.
I showed my DD the ready bed.

The Disney Princess is 4 1/2" D x 26" W x 60" L
The Hello Kitty is 8" D x 26" W x 61" L

Since Hello Kitty is higher off the ground, and from the pictures
looks like it comes with a pillow (no pillow in Princess picture)...
My DD wants Hello Kitty.
Yes it's not Disney - but she can use it on our trip to Philly this Easter
and give it a try.
Also Hello Kitty is 1" longer.

PS - I called our Target and they said they do not stock the ready beds.
So I have to order off the web.

Still for $41.68, tax, shipping, etc - it's a good deal.
13 nights at WDW would be $3.20 a night.

A few uses before WDW - maybe $2.50 night.

Thanks to all for the help ! :)
