Does anyone know specifically what events, merchandise, etc., will be available on the big day and the bid day only?

As a Premium AP and Disney freak, I will undoubtedly attend the celebration. But I would like to know what it is I should be particularly looking for. I am hoping there will be certain items and events that will only take place on July 17.

Strangely, I've never been to DL on its anniversary date. Mainly because I can't stand large crowds and heat. But since this is so special, I'm ready to venture out.

I'm sure there will be a special pin, but other than that, who knows.

As far as I know nothing has been released about the special Anniversary events. Just being there is enough for me though :)

There are already a few peices of merchandise in the parks, tee shirts, sweatshirts, and mugs. I'm sure there will be much more once we get closer to the May kick off.

One thing I am really looking forward too, and it was confirmed by a cast member, is golden mouse ears. Not real gold, just a golden version of the traditional black mouse ears. I saw them in the Rose Bowl Parade and wanted them instantly. I've been asking around, and have been told that they will indeed sell them in the parks.

I know that they're also doing one ride vehicle from each of the original rides in gold.

I've attended the WDW anniversary celebrations for the 20th, 25th and 30th (well, they didn't really celebrate the 30th but I was there that day). I've also attended the Grand Opening of Animal Kingdom.

Based on those events, special items to expect are a button, pins, t-shirts and perhaps a lithograph that are available that day only. There will probably also be some type of higher end collectible that isn't specifically limited to that day, but will be a limited edition that will sell out that day.
