wouldn't it be nice if this actually opened up the eyes of the carriers and made them realize that they need to make coach class a little roomier? even if they took out one row it would help. not much but some.

And I thought "lawsuit syndrome" was confined to greedy Americans. Now airline tickets will be a packet containing warnings about hot coffee and opening the windows. On the plus side, ticket prices will go up.

I think if the airlines have to start coughing up cash, service might improve. Granted, ticket prices might go up, but I don't think I'd mind too much if I could get better service or roomier flights.

Fergie, the beauty of capitalism is you do have a choice. You already can have your better service and roomier seats by paying more to get into first class. But lawsuits that make airlines "cough up cash" does not necessarily equate to better service. I don't want ticket prices to go up, I am happy with the service and seats I get now. Please don't hope that we all have to pay more for someone else's choice.

maybe they should come up with something in between first class and coach. and I don't mean business class. still the coach seats but more room inbetween the seats. its a royal pain when you try to put your tray table down and the person in front of you has their seat back. and if you have something under the seat in front of you thats hard to get too when they ahve thier seats back. its high time the carriers started listening to the flying public. personally I would pay a bit more for more room but I don't like being goughed by the first class prices to get that service.

I for one have had it with these airlines that jam you in like a sardine and not allow you to get up and walk around.. Well how can you walk around, the aisles are so small and the flight attendants usually have the cart in the way so even if you wanted to stand up you probably could not. Because of this I have stopped flying Delta Express and now look for an alternatives to get to Florida..If that means flying into another airport, we do that.. I sometimes wonder if the Captain puts on the seat belt warning just to keep us in our seats..

I can barely do the 3+ hours to Florida, and I can only imagine how difficult overseas' flights are. Not everyone can afford to pay the high cost of first class airfare and I do think that they need to reevaluate the seating and service on coach seats.. And not all flights to Florida, at least from my area, offer first class.. There must be a better way...
