View Full Version : Can you get 'take out' at Jiko and other table service restaurants?
My husband and I would love to eat on our balcony and animal watch one night for dinner. Instead of paying inflated prices for room service (which we will be doing for breakfast some mornings) would they let us with or without a PS to get food 'to go' so we could eat it up in our room? Thanks!

I think the room service prices are the same as the menu prices in the restaurant. All that is added on is a mandatory service charge (tip). Using RS you will have the meal on plates with real flatware and the presentation, etc.
Otherwise you would probably just have the food in a white styrofoam box (if they will even do it) and if they don't do carryout as such you would have to nake a PS and when the food is served then get it boxed up.

you can put together a very nice meal at Mara, which is designed for takeout;they have items which are well beyond standard fast food.
i put together a meal of roasted chicken, salad, fresh fruit, wine and chocolate cake for our "balcony meal"
We have had take out from Jiko a few times!
There is a little bar area when you first come in, order there and you can sit and have a drink... they bring you your order all boxed up.
THen we ate on the balcony..it was great!
