:cool1: I am taking my dd to disney and am looking for a good character meal. We've been to Chef Mickeys and I was thinking of the Liberty Tree Tavern? Any one been there lately?
I have not been to the Liberty Tree Tavern myself( yet anyway), but I was looking over there menu and the food sounds really good. It's suppose to be like a Traditional Thanksgiving dinner, on the menu I saw~ Turkey, flank steak, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, stouffer's mac & cheese. Plus I think it would be fun to see Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale all dressed up for Thanksgiving!
I would also love to hear from others who have done the Liberty Tree Tavern, as my friend and I are thinking on going there in sept.

We enjoy both. Liberty Tree is nice since you don't have to get up to get your dinner!! Sometimes I just get tired of running around getting my plate filled. Must be getting old. And it's easier with really little kids. But one piece of advice if you chooose Liberty Tree Tavern.....use the bathroom in the parks before you sit down for dinner!!! Those bathrooms are tiny and a hike up a narrow flight of stairs. Ladies especially will find themselves waiting quite a bit.
We loved LTT. It did feel like Thanksgiving - the setting doesn't hurt either.
My family loved Chef Mickey's for Breakfast as well. I felt like it had a cafeteria feel(common complaint), but my DD 4 specifically requested it again, so we're definitely going back.
Why not do both?
We usually only do 2 meals a day when we're at WDW. I really don't prefer counter service food and enjoy doing big breakfasts and early buffet dinners. We supplement with healthy snacks if we get hungry throughout the day. On our last trip we barely even needed them.
Whatever you decide, book early, if you want a specific time. They both get get booked up at specific times.
