HRH Beach Club Restaurant...Open???

If anyone has been to HRH recently, would you please provide us with the details of the renovations to the Beach Club out by the pool? Also, is the gate behind the restaurant still open to walk to Universal Studios?

I'm curious about this also. I remember reading something about it being converted into a Cabo Wabo. I looked around but have not seen any mention of this. Would be very cool if it were true!

We were there the weekend of the 8th/9th, and the bar/restaurant area by the pool was open. As for the gate, we tried it once and it would not open. It now says emergency exit only/employees only (I forget which), and I guess you need a key or something to open it. During the Summer it was open, and provided a much shorter route to the parks.
