I know the lottery is today for add-ons at BWV and OKW. Has anyone heard anything? Just wondering how the "winners" will be notified, etc.
I got impatient, what can I say? I called and spoke to someone at DVC admin. # since my guide is on vacation. He said the lottery has happened, but that the results are not yet in. He said all of the sales people were in a meeting -possibly working on it. He said to check back later.

Chuckled when I read your post...was wondering the same thing all morning and keep checking in....chuckled even hard when I read your response to your own post :p Guess I'm glad to know nobody has been notified yet....cause I haven't been either :rolleyes: But Good Luck to all who entered. If I hear something, I'll be sure to post so that people will be aware that SOMETHING has happened anyways. :confused:

Well, I wonder what's going on, usually it's pretty easy to run a lottery & let the winners know... Why do you think they need a meeting on how to handle it?? It's rather odd I think.... & yup, my guide is in a meeting....

According to my guide, there were two people ahead of me! Such a fuss over 28 BWV points! Anyway, I was kind of bummed. :(
I had to call to get the information. I hope everyone else has better luck.

Just got off the phone w/ someone who checked with my "substitute guide". He said that she said she didn't know anything right now, but I've been told she'll call as soon as she knows something... hmmm... sounds like a Junior High conversation...

Kelly, I'm sorry you didn't get those 28 points!!! I still haven't heard, but I pretty much assume I didn't get chosen either... There were just far too many people and not nearly enough points... That's why they didn't open it up to all 56,000 members!! At least that's what my guide said... Basically they called back all their contacts that had expressed interest in an add on after the resort sold out.... What a bummer... Hopefully somebody on the DIS got some extra points!

Wow! That's a nice size add on, I was hoping for 50 myself... I don't know why those little guys don't bounce, they are supposed to!!!

Congrats Lora!! I just called yet another guide (my guide is on vacation) and was told they won't know the results till tomorrow. I wish everyone could stick to the same story. You really lucked out w/ a good guide Lora, congrats again!! I will just keep my fingers crossed till tomorrow. She said she would call me back first thing

Lora, I don't think the pinkbounce smilies have ever worked. I reported this on the technical forum quite awhile back.

pluvc, sounds like you'll get good news!! Which resort/use year were you looking for?
My guide called me at 6... She doesn't know anything, the woman that's been notifying the guides has gone home, and she hasn't heard from her... so no news til tomorrow... I have terrible lottery luck though, I've come to grips with that LOL....

Lora, Congratulations! When did you put your request in? I requested 50 @BWV on Saturday,( I had been on a list with my guide since March)and was told it would be first come first serve. Guess that all changed! Chris, I wish you well I know you've been looking also. I was gone all day and no messages here!:(
chris1gill, who is your guide? I haven't heard either and I'm wondering if we have the same guide. Mine is Meghan Butler.

Thanks for the well wishes Kem... It'll take an awful lot of pixie dust to get past my bad luck though LOL.... MG, My guide is Michelle McAllister, she is an absolute charm, she put up with us for 3 years before we bought... and she is always wonderful about responding to our questions!
pluvc, I think you've got it made with a message like that!
I've been bugging my guide since about March. (We considered VWL for a while, but decided against it because we just love the BW so much.) My husband had promised that we could use the profit on the sale of our condo for an add-on. When he made that promise, he didn't realize how good the real estate market was. ;) The closing was just last Thurs. and I was itching to get my add-on. I was getting on the re-sale lists with not much hope in sight. Thanks everyone for the congrats! I hope all goes well for those of you who are still waiting.
