Ormond Beach anyone stay in the area

Hey everyone. We are thinking of spending a night in the Ormond Beach area before we go do Disney. Is this a nice area??? How much further would it be Disney???

My DB & DSIL have a beachfront condo there and it's really nice. It's the next town north of Daytona Beach - it seems less congested than Daytona, yet only a few minutes away. Never stayed at any hotels in the area though.

As far as how far to WDW, it's about an hour drive if you don't hit traffic around Orlando.
